I have lived in Pickering since 1995 and I frequent this plaza regularly. I’ve always appreciated the food here and the kindness of the older gentleman who owns this business. Tonight, after doing some shopping in the plaza, I parked my car near this location. A young man came outside and aggressively approached my vehicle, demanding that I move because he claimed I was blocking “his customers” from entering. This interaction escalated immediately. The young man began verbally attacking my face, calling me a raccoon, calling me fat, and telling me I was “going to die soon.” He continued insulting me for several minutes, berating me, and threatening to call the police for “trespassing,” claiming he was the owner of Crown Pita, Extreme Burrito, and even the entire plaza. I recorded the entire exchange and captured ten minutes of him harassing me. To verify his claims, I drove through Extreme Burrito and spoke to the actual owner, who reviewed part of the video and confirmed that this young man is NOT the owner of his establishment nor Crown Pita. However, the young man does work there. When I looked into Crown Pita afterward, I saw him behind the counter working. To the owners: your employee’s conduct amounted to unprovoked verbal harassment, intimidation, and hostile, unprofessional misconduct toward a woman sitting alone in her car. What I experienced included: • verbal harassment and personal attacks • bullying behaviour • public humiliation attempts • threatening behaviour • gender-targeted intimidation • aggressive misconduct • malicious verbal insults • false accusations and intimidation As a resident of Pickering since 1995, I have never been treated in such a demeaning and degrading manner. I hope management addresses this immediately. I also hope the owner of Extreme Burrito is contacted, as he personally witnessed part of the harassment on video. I have a social media account with 3,000 followers about Food and Toronto Music culture. I really want to name myself but for the sake of personal security I will refrain from posting publicly until the owner contacts me directly so I can be invited for the owner to review the video for himself.

Owner is unfriendly. He will greet you, but otherwise very unkind. His behavior made me feel like it was a problem serving me. The food was not good either. I saw other reviews saying the food was great, but it was bland. Fresh ingredients tho. Best of luck if you try it.

We've been going here the past couple weeks. This was like our 5th time. Today, our portion was so unbelievably small. I got a large beef/chicken plate. My plate was mostly rice topped with very thin slices of meat and not much of it. If this is how you treat your loyal customers now that you know us, then we're not coming back. My wife's wrap was under portioned compared to normal too. The chicken was hard and dry. A sign the chicken was stored and re heated. You think you're slick buddy, you cost yourself more money in the long run. 3.8 review isn't very good either. There's no AC and his cans of chickpeas are not being stored in a cool dry place. I question the health & safety of this place. The veggie toppings aren't stored with lids in an environment that is at least 28degrees Celsius. He also refused to give my wife hot sauce on the side. Something that he did for her before.
