Halibut House Fish & Chips Pickering

This restaurant published inaccurate prices on the screens in the restaurant. When I notified the staff about the error on our order they refused to fix the price, provide us with a discount to amend it or offer any correction to this. I am extremely disappointed. This is not a proper business practice and I will not be returning. I do not recommend patroning this location.

It's been a long time since I've been to Halibut House in Pickering, even though it's in my neighbourhood. On this visit, I had their Haddock Fish & Chips for only 12.99, as advertised on a poster in their front window.

It was a good sized piece of fish with a generous amount of chips and coleslaw. This was a really good meal with good flavour. This place gets bonus marks for providing full bottles of ketchup and tartar sauce instead of the little packets!

This restaurant was a corner location with high ceilings, big bright windows, and lots of space between tables. It was very clean, with friendly and efficient service. I'll definitely come back!

I recently had the King Cod at two other locations and it was a lovely big piece of fish. However, I ordered it at the Pickering location and it was half the size and extremely dry, even vinegar couldn’t save it? Not worth the money! Second time at this location, very disappointing.

Very clean store and really good quality halibut fish and chips. Seems like a husband and wife operation which made the service a bit slow. It seems they have a patio too, but it was raining when we went. Homemade fries were great, too!

The service was good, but food was just okay. The fish was good, fries were okay but the deep fried pickles were $10 and we got 5 very sad greasy pickles. Onion rings were also not good. Saturated with grease and very expensive for a very small amount.
Also, we had to pay $5 extra for a tiny container of cole slaw

The quality of the food here is great. I e have never had a problem ordering take-out here. You are able to eat inside the restaurant, but we have always done takeout. You are also able to purchase some alcoholic drinks and desserts to go as well.

Excellent service every time I go. Nancy the owner is amazing and all the staff are excellent. Would highly recommend to all my friends and family. The food is always amazing!

pre ordered the day before Good Friday. Went to pick it up and they had cancelled they order without notification and told us we would have to get in line to order and it would be about 45 minutes. Horrible customer service. We went to Salt 'n Malt and had our order in 10 minutes and it was excellent.
