Despite living in Pickering fof 6 years, today was my first time at Heaffles.. a very unique menu, good sized portions and delicious food.. loved the personal touch for my daughter - things that need not be done, but elevates the experience. The dude/babe managing this restaurant are presentable, smart and easy to speak with. Thank you!!

I love this place! There was a point where I would come in 1-2x a week like clockwork to order an earl grey latte (and sometimes a green tea if I was staying long enough for a second drink), and work, study, or simply catch up on some reading. All of the staff are extremely sweet and would make great conversation without being overbearing or forceful. Yousuf, Malaika, and Looney especially have always been super kind to me.
All in all, this is genuinely the ONLY cafe in Durham Region I’d happily go to, because they deserve every single dollar. No gimmicks, just a bunch of people who seem to really love what they’re doing <3 I moved a few hours away recently and haven’t been able to go back, but next time I’m in Pickering, this is going to be one of my first stops :)

I didn't try the waffles to be fair. The smoked turkey breakfast sandwich left me disappointed for the price. My cappuccino was good, though. I'd consider coming back to try waffles, but seems over rated.

Love this cafe!! This is my favourite cafe in Durham, hands down! Everyone is so wonderful and kind, the coffee is high quality and there are gluten free options. It’s a great spot to get some work done as well. So glad I accidentally found this place since it’s one of my go-to places now.
5 stars across the board. Tried the hazelnut crunch waffle and it was top notch. Only thing that beats the waffles is the exceptional customer service.

Went in for coffee and it was delicious. I have to agree with most comments regarding prices, for my 2 latte's it was 15 bucks... Especially for a 'tall' size... That's pretty expensive. So not sure if they will survive long term or not, but my latte was tasty, no doubt. I didn't have any food options, though they looked good. Again, pricey though... 22.00 for an egg salad sandwich?? Ouch.
