Went here with the family and absolutely loved the ramen here. We ordered the shoyu ramen and the black knight which were delicious. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was nice with Japanese music playing in the background.

Just took my daughter here, and she absolutely loved it. The server who greeted us and took our order was great, as well as the chef in the back that that thanked us as we left. It was awesome, and I highly recommend

It was an okay experience, looking for more flavorful broth and noodle options also shouldn't be charging for hot sauce lol

I've been here a few times and I've never been disappointed with the food and service. The Seafood Ramen is delicious and I always make sure to order some Takoyaki on the side! The staff are always very friendly and the service is quick.

For a ramen place in Pickering… not bad. Could it be better? Absolutely. Would I consider going back to try other dishes? Meh. I will most likely stick to the typical Scarborough spots for ramen. Small cozy restaurant for whenever you’re feeling soup-y!

This was the blandest ramen I’ve had…. The chashu was dry and had no umami flavour, chashu is usually soft and juicy and sweet… this was dry and had no flavor…. Broth was okay, noodles okay, I requested spice as I ordered a spicy ramen… absolutely no spice! I won’t waste my money here again as it was underwhelming

Came here to try ramen in Durham. The setup seems legit but the food felt premade and the broth had very little flavour. Also the toppings added were kind of a joke. I got the fish cakes and my bowl came with two little pieces. The waitress was a little weird too as she kept interrupting our dinner. I don’t know….it wasn’t the experience I was looking for and I was excited to see a ramen spot. I have a feeling Ippon is more of a franchise and not really Japanese/Asian owned to understand how to properly cook ramen. I don’t think I’ll be returning.

The fried shrimp was good, the takoyaki was good, the chicken was okay but the ramen is not something I was expecting. I got the Black Knight and I kinda not like it. Its not bad but its also not that appetizing. Maybe Ill try the other flavor next time. Everything deserves a second chance? And their staff is so friendly

Went here 2 times so far, food is as good as any other ippon. The restaurant is small, theres like 8 tables. But, its very new and the atmosphere is chill and cozy. Food isnt too salty, and portions are quite large. They made a small mistake on my order, but they made up for it and gave me a drink. Now thats what I call great customer service. Thanks, I'll come again!!

Food is an incredibly important part of life. A plethora of anthropological findings highlight its importance in human history - indeed, the very Agricultural Revolution was a consequence of the fact that humans could grow food in one place instead of foraging for it. And of course, upon that great revolution many of the first cities emerged. In some sense, a good survey of anthropological evidence suggests that the importance of food in our lives is what indirectly created some of the world's first settlements. In other words, food is important and we take the quality of it seriously.

I will have to say, the quality of the ramen of this place was rather wanting. The flavor was lacking and the different spices given were rather poor compensations for this lack of spice. The broth of the ramen was woefully bland, indeed, though the keenest individual who self identifies as a "foodie" may search high and low for traces of flavor, he will always be disappointed. I beseech the eager seeker of ramen noodles to spend his wages on the likes of "Buldak" noodles and their countless variants, for in those myriad packages he is far more likely to find the spices and flavors his heart desires. I cannot recommend this ramen in good faith to anyone, indeed, I strongly urge the common man to turn his head to the next ramen store should he wish to consume this famous dish. The broth they served was highly reminiscent of water - while from a chemical standpoint, all soup broths do consist mostly of water, such should not be readily apparent to our taste buds, it should only be reached upon pure rationalization/deductive logic of the fact that no broth can exist in its liquid form without being primarily composed of dihydrogen monoxide.

In interest of fairness, this restaurant also does serve macroalgae, which I did think I was rather delightful. It is not unlikely that were I to consume only these variants of seaweed, my experience here would not have been so abysmal. Alas, I made the choice to consume their ramen, beckoned by the store name which read so. I implore the working man who toils for his daily wage to, should he decide to visit this restaurant, spend his money on the seaweed and avoid the ramen, for in it lies nothing but a thorough missing of flavor and perhaps every single element that could make even the least experienced food critic/connoisseur say with eyebrows raised - this is ramen.
