Went to with large group and they wouldn’t do separate bills.

It's really disappointing what i'm looking at here. The servers are so rude, and they don't have respect at all. They don't have a manners to talk to anybody. Especially when the Uber driver comes over, they are giving them a really bad attitude. ? i am so disappointed here. I would never come back to see this kind of service here. No way, and I will tell everyone before they order through the Uber, not to do that. Because Uber drivers are getting so much disrespect in here.Sadly, i'm not really happy from this place. In my opinion, Uber drivers are having their window to work, and these girls treat them that they are nothing that they are garbage. I am not gonna be here, no, no, no, no. No, please don't go to that place or do not give your order from there.

Great service, great atmosphere, and most importantly, delicious food. What more can one ask for? The lemon pepper wings and sizzling beef are a must.

The staff and food at Island Mix in Pickering was amazing. I had Island Mix cater an event for 180 people. Ronaldo was great to work with, always returned calls and emails, was super organized and everyone loved the food. Delivery was on time and there was plenty of food for all my guests. Ronaldo helped me choose an appropriate menu for my guests and everything promised was delivered with no issues at all. I will definitely use Island Mix in Pickering for my next big event!

I came here on Friday excited and ready to eat. My food tasted alright how it normally does. The jerk chicken & fried rice. I get home and about 5 hours later I start throwing up everything. I got food poisoning from here it was terrible. I called the girl said she’ll let the manager know & no one reached out.

Taste: decent. Typical West Indian Chinese food. Little heavy on the soya and onion. Flavor profile also a little one note.

Prices: higher than competitors. Prices probably reflect better atmosphere (which is not important for take-out). Their business would likely grow if they offered a discount for cash/take-out orders.

Service: very slow. Seems understaffed.

My husband called me and asked me if I wanted dinner tonight and he told me he was at Island Mix. I agreed and told him I wanted the Jerk Chicken with extra gravy and it is never an issue to pay extra for gravy because that’s how I prefer my food - saucy. I heard my husband tell the server our order and my husband reiterated that we wanted extra gravy to which the server replied that an extra charge would be applied and he agreed. He waited patiently for our food and when he got it, he asked AGAIN, if they put the extra gravy and the server said YES.

He gets home and my meal is DRY. It’s one thing to serve chicken breast in a Jerk Chicken meal but another to not have the meat at least be moist or juicy if you’re not going to add the extra gravy that the customer paid for. My chicken was hard and dry. Really disappointing considering the extra charge was applied and over $100 in food was ordered. I used to frequent the location in Vaughan and they never missed the mark but this meal today was not it. Crazy to me that they fill up put bag with all this extra hot sauce but won’t include extra gravy that you paid for….Will try to salvage the chicken by making Rasta pasta with it tomorrow.

Good food but terrible service. Went there around 4 30 pm today and didn’t even get a sever until 5 10. We had to ask a different sever to take our order cuz no one came to us.
The sever came brought drinks then another server named Mo came saying he would be our new server.

He was polite however he just brought the food and never came back at any point of the night. Each time we wanted to get drinks and even to pay the bill we were stuck waiting and having to ask other servers to track him down.

He never came to ask for any other orders and was just overall disappointing.

We paid cash and he never even offered to bring back the change was more than 20% which he did not deserve.

I have been going to island mix for over 10 years. Yesterday was the worst experience I've ever had. I ordered the chilli chicken which was great and the oxtail which wasn't.
My waitress asked me if my food was ok and I had to be honest and tell her I did not like my oxtail.
Should have been obvious also as I barley touched it.
I was so nice about the situation as it's not that big of a deal. The waitress seemed bothered and lacked any type of empathy or acknowledgment of the issue. A simple, I am sorry you don't like your food would have gone a long way. Her reply, what do you want me to do?? But in a very short and flat tone.. the oxtail was removed from my bill but the waitress was just unpleasant and should not be working with people.
