Ordered take out. Due to the music being too loud to sit in for dinner the waitress couldn’t hear my order.
When I questioned the pricing which was different on my receipt than what was on the menu. The manager pointed out that on the bottom on the menu in extremely fine print. It states “prices are subject to change”.

Prices are allowed to changed. However when it does change the price on the menu to reflect the correct pricing. Especially when the pricing is more than a $5 difference.

Island Mix has catered for me on multiple occasions—including my wedding and a baby shower—and I could not recommend them more highly. From the very beginning, working with Kevin was an absolute delight. He is kind, professional, and incredibly accommodating, making the entire process of planning and organizing food a complete breeze.
The food itself is always outstanding. At my wedding, Island Mix went above and beyond by providing not only authentic and flavorful West Indian dishes but also delicious Western options. They even added extra items for our cocktail hour with ease, making sure every detail was covered. At the baby shower, I brought their pasta dish and people are still talking about it—guests continue to ask me where I ordered it from!
Everything is always delivered on time, beautifully prepared, and absolutely delicious. Their generosity and fairness with pricing make them stand out even more, and it’s clear they truly care about their clients and their events.
I’m so grateful for the wonderful service and amazing food Kevin and his team provided. Island Mix made both my wedding and baby shower unforgettable, and I’ll continue recommending them to everyone I know.

We been going here for over 10 years!
Now there pepper sauce chicken wings are literally so juicy, full of flavour, and packed with heat just the way we love it and it has us coming back for more always!
Great vibes, good music and atmosphere which makes it a great spot to hang out after work and catch up with good friends.
Will be back again very soon check them out and thank us later!

I would go there during holiday time. Like Canada Day, you know, and so forth usually the food was okay. But this time, the food was not good at all. my daughter order chili chicken we had to send it right back !!
They bring a new batch, but it was not different. Full salt and pepper.
So you cannot taste the rotten chicken.
Our bill came up to $107 they ????? After the discount
I will never go back there. !!!!!!!!! P, s, the chicken fry rice was not bad. The chicken on the Fried Rice was fresh. I could tell the difference.

I ordered catering for my graduation dinner on jul 12th, 2025. I ordered Veggie fried rice, beef fried rice and beef and broccoli. Both trays of fried rice tasted like it went bad, smelt like it was spoilt and sadly no guest ate it. For those of us who
Did eat it, we had upset stomachs. Wasted $295, really disappointed. When i went to pick up the food, we were ignored by staff and had to wait around for someone to attend to us. Would not recommend ordering from this restaurant :/. Read another review posted to the date i hate purchased the food and looks like we were served the same fried rice.

They are so slow. The staff keeping talking. No one listens to you. The manager was there Melissa. I called her twice. She ignored. This kind of service is not acceptable.

Yesterday I ordered chicken fried rice for take out. For my kids. They told me the Food tasted like soap and smelled bad. When I tasted the food myself the food smelled and tasted spoiled. I believe that I was served old food as I can’t see that this food was just cooked fresh. I am very disappointed with this restaurant for serving spoiled food. I’m especially upset that my kids ate this disgusting 🤮chicken fried rice. Island mix Pickering Service has really gone down the drain. They have lost me as a customer and my family and friends. I do not recommend eating at this restaurant and possibly getting sick stomach or food poisoning. Very unhealthy and very disappointed.
