We stopped by Jasper’s and ordered the haddock and chips and WOW!! the portion was absolutely huge and super satisfying!
The fish was perfectly cooked with a crispy, flavourful batter and tender fish inside. The fries were delicious too and we obviously got a side of gravy.
Friendly service, generous servings, and great value for what you get. Definitely one of the best fish and chips spots around, I highly recommend! 👏🐟🍟

Great fish n' chips! Service was quick, batter thin n' crispy and fries thick, hot n' fresh!! We got the Halibut n' chips with a haddock platter filled with 3 juicy shrimp and melt-away scallops perfectly cooked! Cheers, keep the good fish coming...and will definitely visit again!

Jasper Fish and Chips is a clean and friendly restaurant with plenty of seating. The food is excellent and my opinion is that it has the best fish and chips in our area. There is plenty of parking and it is well located. I recommend this restaurant.

The Best Battered Halibut. Light, crisp, craggy, not greasy batter. From Scarb to Kingston and north to Port Perry, Jaspers wins. Even after 20 years, the quality, quanity and the friendly service has never wavered, which can't be said about most places. The chips..not great. Not crisp and a bit flat tasting. Its always been like that. But I dont care, as the halibut more than makes up for it. Toss them in the air fryer or oven for a few minutes. Please dont change Jaspers!

We were planning a trip to Ajax/Pickering area for some errands and were looking for a spot for lunch. (Preferably Fish & Chips). Did a quick Google search and this place was allover the place. This place was FANTASTIC!!! Probably the best Halibilut I've ever had. Crispy and batter stayed on the fish. Fries were also good. We Also ordered a side of Scottish Bread with butter. Service was excellent as our water glasses kept being topped off.Decor was interesting with all the walls covered with Scottish memorabilia. A little pricy but you get what you pay.for. And Oh....tons of tartar sauce packages.
Nice chill atmosphere. Food was amazing and the fish was perfectly soft and went great with the tartar sauce. They told me my food would take 10 mins so I sat in my car to wait (as usual) and 10 mins later they brought my food out to my car (in this cold weather). I was surprised. Best place in Durham hands down

We had 3 haddock and 2 chips. The chips were terrible, no more than an inch long and not crisp. The haddock was thinly battered and fell apart. Disappointing.

Fish has amazing batter and is fried to perfection. Fries are really good too. Service was good and quick. They only give tartar sauce in packets, would be better to be able to dip.
