The Indian girl working there should be trained properly or fired. Twice we bought the 2 for $10.00 bags and it had a lot of air in the bags. She did not fill it properly. Before her, there was another person who filled the bags really well for your money's worth.

The girl that works there on Nov 22nd 2023 at 7:30pm must likely does not like her job nor her life. She is very rude and lazy. Said it was at the end of the "night" at 7:30 and didn't want to make anymore popcorn. She charge me $7.33 for half a bag of popcorn for my daughter. Com'on @kernels work on your hiring process!!

I’ve been going here for years and the popcorn is generally pretty good but today I bought 3 bags and the popcorn was so stale and some pieces were wet.. I couldn’t even eat it. At least the lady serving us was really sweet..

STALE POPCORN! Guess I should have read the reviews before buying here. I bought 2 large bags of popcorn because of a "buy 1, get the 2nd half price" special. The popcorn was at least a day old! Even with all the seasoning, it's still stale and not crunchy. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful which is why this isn't a 1-star review. But I'm very disappointed with my purchase. Be warned if choosing to buy popcorn here.
There is a nice young employee who works here. Unfortunately, I have to give 1 star because the man who works here who I believe is the franchise owner is rude, impolite and harsh with zero social skills and shouldn't be working in a customer service environment.

This Kernels stand here in Pickering poorly run and managed. It's manager is white old man (over 50+) whose BITTERNESS IN LIFE reflects onto how he treats brown and black people - especially on Black paying customers who live in Pickering. I witnessed on a Saturday afternoon, while waiting in line - Fall 2022 - this white manager BARKING RUDELY to a smiling, pleasant young Black lady - who just came to replace a STALE bag of popcorn. Very sad. What a disgrace.If the Head office and Corporate Management is concerned with maintaining the sustainability of the Kernel's brand, I implore them to investigate all staff of its Pickering, ONTARIO location. Ignore this location at your peril (profit wise).This stand is on "borrowed time" - given consistent, unsatisfactory reviews - by paying customers. Not a good look.
