Great food and environment.
Cod fish bites are sooo good!! Worth every penny. Definitely worth trying this place.
BY FAR THE BEST IN JAMAICAN CUISINE IN THE CITY. MUST GO! TRY THE FRIED CHICKEN WITH RICE AND PEAS!
Visited this place while in Oshawa and honestly it was really good. The food took a little while to come but when it did, the red peas soup was on point and the curry chicken hit the spot. The place seemed like it was under renovation but that did not detract from the enjoyment of the meal.
The j*** chicken we got was a little dry. My husband’s oxtail stew was okay. Price was more expensive than other Jamaican places in the area so we were expecting the food to be exceptional.
Chicken curry was by far best I’ve had in Durham. Too spicy for the kids yet my son kept coming back for more! So many levels of flavour. Will definitely order again. Great customer service, very friendly and welcoming.
Patois is by far one of the best Jamaican restaurants, hands down! The food is very tasty & filling, the customer service experience was great, & my children loved Wayne (the head chef!). I highly recommend having Patois to you all!
I absolutely loved the food here!
J*** chicken is like two drumsticks and portion size is amazing for the price! I had the curry goat and my friends had the j**** Curry goat was amazing as well!
We had sweet potato fries, j*** chicken, and chicken roti. Fries were crispy on the outside and soft inside. The meats was tender and flavourful. The staff was friendly. Overall fantastic experience!

Really tasty j*** chicken here. I really liked the restaurant and it’s location. Enjoyed coming here and I would return soon. Great customer service from the staff.
Patois offers delicious Jamaican cuisine. I get their j*** chicken (spicy) with rice and peas! Do not go to this restaurant if you want something quick as they make the food fresh on order, so it does take a bit of time. The food is definitely worth the wait though!
Best stew fish I ever tasted! Good service! Will be going back!
Friendly people. Good staff. Oxtail was my personal favourite. My better half liked the j*** chicken.
My first visit to this Restaurant. $70 for 3 people, no beverages, 2 soups and 3 entrees. Service, atmosphere, food quality, food presentation and washrooms all need serious improvement to justify these price point. The curry goat meals we had were muted, lack of authentic interpretation for classic Jamaican mainstay. We went in for a good meal, this one was just ok. I Will give Patois another try in the new year. Hoping for better.
