I didn't actually eat the food here, but I did recognize that the current owners are definitely not West Indian. Lol. The one young lady I spoke with said she was from Nepal. As others have mentioned their dishes don't have the Carribean flavour and preparation that people in the know are used to. I would advise the owners to hire a West Indian cook so the dishes match the true taste of the Carribean.
Worst doubles to be honest!!! Super dry hard to bite and barely any flavour! I'll stick to Lena's roti and doubles best place best doubles and nice people. The lady at the front tossed my bag of doubles on the counter before I paid instead of nicely handing them to me which I find strange because usually it's delicate and you wouldn't want the filling to spill out, anyway first and last time here that's for sure.

Curry is watered down. Not tasty at all. They claim the lunch special is sold out so you buy large size. Terrible customer service! Won't be going back again.

got a chicken roti here the other night, generous portion and tasty curry.
very sweet staff as well
I’ve had the jerk roti lunch special before and it was absolutely delicious. Great flavor, tender meat, and a solid portion for the price. Definitely a stand out.
However, my recent experience with the dinner portion was disappointing. I specifically ordered it with rice and asked for goat or chicken gravy, but when I got home, I found nearly half the container filled with curry potatoes, along with dry , overcooked jerk, chicken. No gravy as requested, and the overall meal just didn’t live up to expectations. To top it off, I was charged more than the price that was quoted.
Hoping this was just a one off because the lunch special shows they can get it right.
The service was okay, but the food—especially the doubles—was a big letdown! They lacked flavor and the bake was extremely dense. I don’t think I will return.
You cannot beat the taste and price of the food here. Chicken doubles are to die for!

I don’t give reviews. I don’t think I’ve ever given a review. But I really had to for this place. We ordered a curry chicken roti, curry goat roti, butter chicken roti and doubles. Let me tell you nothing absolutely nothing was good. I should have just listened to the reviews instead of giving it a chance. Everything was flavourless. Even adding my own bandanya pepper sauce and scorpion pepper sauce couldn’t save it. The bara for the doubles is very very thick and bland. Doubles is suppose to be thin and have that slight chew. The channa was mushy. As my kids said I should have just made my own instead of wasting my money. Now I see why their prices are so cheap. Go elsewhere, drupatis, Mona’s, Leelas or Lena’s
Update: it’s the next day and I literally had to re-curry the meat and re season it. The channa unfortunately there’s no saving it. There’s something in it that I have no idea what it is but the flavour is just not it. No matter how much seasoning I added will save it. Plus I think it’s on the verge of spoiling.
Convenient close to hime.
Do not order doubles - unfortunately it laughably misses the mark of what doubles should be
