Great experience at state and main. It was a busy for the jays game and the food still came out right away. The food was great, they forgot a salad but fixed the issue right away, wasn't a big deal. I also think they gave us a meal size salad as opposed to a side salad. Food is always great there!

State & Main is a terrific place to eat. It is a terrific atmosphere with terrific customer service. The macaroni and cheese with cajun chicken or their fantastic fish with either mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, caesar salad, or mixed vegetables on the side is a terrific combo. Other foods I like are Butter Chicken and Open-Faced Steak. The customer service is also top-notch.

Second time attending this restaurant. The atmosphere is welcoming and cozy. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and very open to menu changes. Food is amazing and reseasonably priced. Would highly recommend State and Main to anyone who wants a good meal at a friendly restaurant.

First time eating these guys came her yesterday.. pretty impressed! Their Bang Bang Shrimp .. delicious I'd buy it again! Had their Fish and chips pretty good I must say. I'd give the Bang Bang shrimp appetizer like 8/10 and The fish and chips 8/10 it was Haddock I've tried fish and chips at bar style restaurants not as good as these guys! The only downfall I'd say is that the fries were a little too salty they can lessen on the salt .. or maybe if u order advise them to lessen on the salt and I felt they were little cheap on the amount of fries most places give a nice decent amount oh just one more thing i wasnt a fan of the coleslaw it was a bit bland wth not much taste hopefully the company makes chsmges on that... but no complaints in a negative way the foods great I plan to eat from their franchise again ! The waitress here at the pickering location I believe her name was Veronica she is amazing.. talkative and willing to listen about questions about the food! Appreciated it ! Keep up the great work !! Glad we had you as our waitress :)

I don't usually leave bad reviews as i work in the service industry and understand the stress but this visit was disappointing. I've been to other State & Main locations and had great experiences, but I wouldn't recommend this one. Our server was kind but very inexperienced. A single beer took over 15 minutes, and when we ordered a bottle of wine it arrived already opened with no wine service or tasting, leaving us to pour it ourselves. When appetizers came, the side plates were dirty with red wine spilt, the server laughed it off saying “someone must've spilt wine on them”. After we asked for new ones, one of the replacements was also dirty. Later, we requested another wine glass, it didn't come until we asked again, and it arrived wet and unpolished. For a $150 meal, the service and attention to detail were well below expectations.

Waitress ended shift, got paid and no one came around until I got up to order at bar area for two coffees which were very bad for $8 and we left them on the table. Empty plates left on the table after dinner. Very few customers left. The bathroom was filthy, two stalls with no toilet paper at all and the other stall locked. Wasps in washroom and some dead in sink. Told staff and she apologized and said she would tell the person in charge, however no one came to clean or refill. Very disappointing evening.

The food took equally as long but it was subpar (table of 6 and all meals were subpar). The staff were very kind and the atmosphere was great, but if you're looking for a well run dining experience with amazing food, this is not the place for you.

It was a lovely birthday celebration with my family. The waitress was absolutely cuter than ever possible. I cannot remember her name. It was either Cage or Sage. The food was amazing. We didn't have to wait between courses and we had a super lovely time.
