This was one of the most disappointing experiences I’ve had at a Subway. The staff struggled to communicate clearly, and when they didn’t have enough change, they insisted I pay extra instead of resolving the issue properly. The customer after me tried to use a coupon, but the employees didn’t seem to know how to process it. Overall, very poor service and a frustrating visit.

I went with one of my friends to get lunch at subway at the food court in pickering town centre and had a bad experience as the employee gave no respect to me and my friends and was behaving very rude towards us. I really hope this is not repeated again as it felt like I made a mistake choosing subway for lunch as we all deserve to be treated well.

*BEWARE TERRIBLE HYGIENE PRACTICES* Hygiene and service were terrible. No one in line, watched the 2 employees talk to each other for a good minute before being acknowledged. Walked over while touching their face and immediately grabbed gloves and started making the sandwich, that should’ve been my first red flag. They dropped turkey into what I think was the teriyaki chicken container, and then put the turkey back into the turkey container🤦🏻♀️They are also very stingy with the toppings. My sandwich was genuinely just bread, few slices of turkey, a few finger fuls- not handfuls, of vegetables and then just sauce. I had to ask for extra of each of my vegetables and what was infuriating was that they would literally put 1 more of that item. Pissed me off so much when I asked for extra onion and they literally took 1 more little cut onion and put it on. Why am I spending my hard earned money here? AVOID THIS LOCATION AT ALL COSTS. Not to mention, they make you feel like a burden the whole time, the attitude and service is insane.

Horrible experience, staff refused to make a sub at 5:47 pm, saying they are closed. All the ingredients were out and the lights were all on, and all the other restaurants were serving.

The lady working at the Subway today was really odd. I asked for a 12-inch sub, and she asked me twice like she couldn’t believe I actually wanted one. After I ate, I asked for a bag and she said I’d have to pay for it, even though I had already paid for my food. She claimed it was because she asked earlier if I was dining in or taking out. I even offered to pay, and then she suddenly said it was fine and gave me the bag for free. I don’t understand what the point of that back-and-forth was. Please train your staff to be courteous to your customers.
Not sure what’s happening at this location. Ordered a sub, the girl tried to upsell me extra cheese and I said no. Cuts the bread and asks the same exact thing, I reply no again. I then realized all the lettuce was brown, spinach was slimy and the tomatoes looked 100 years old. I asked for fresh lettuce and the girl pulls out a bag of equally as gross lettuce and put it on. At the cash, I asked for a chips no drink and a different girl says ‘it’s cheaper to add the drink’ which is obviously untrue and another way for them to upcharge. Not to mention that all three women standing behind the register are having a full on convo in a different language the entire time and the girl making my sub could hardly even focus on what I was asking to put on it, I had to repeat myself several times. I would not recommend this restaurant and will not going back, which is a shame because previous ownership was running it much better and it was always fresh and delicious- not anymore.
Today at the PCC location, the server was preparing a bacon sub right before ours. She was wearing gloves, but after handling the meat, she didn’t change them, she e went straight to touching the vegetables like lettuce and others with the same gloves.
When it was our turn, I told her that we wouldn’t be ordering because she hadn’t changed her gloves after handling meat. She didn’t have much to say, just looked embarrassed that someone noticed.
Worst subway I’ve been too by far. Waited 30 minutes for a mobile order that ended up being rushed. Don’t know if the staff didn’t take care to add any of the toppings or if they’re just skimping out, but they completely missed the cheese and sauce, and added literally one jalapeño and one banana pepper. It was literally just bread and lettuce. They then refused to add anymore stating that that was their “standard.” Definitely not the standard I’ve seen at other subways, and believe me when I say I’ve been getting this same order for YEARS. Don’t know if it would’ve been better had I ordered in person and watched them put the toppings on, but either way the staff and management are not doing a great job. Absolutely do not recommend.
We ordered 12 inches foot long and toasted but I don’t think they toast it taste wise it was ok but the highlight is for the girl who made it took the effort to help us make the sandwich and the hash browns were not at all good and waste of money
