I went here last night just before closing. There was a young lady at the counter that wasn’t sure when asked if the doubles were buy 6 get one free. She went to the back for about 10-12 minutes and then my food was brought to me. There did not seem to be a cook there. I could hear a lot of banging around and microwaving. Paid for my food and brought it home. It was disgusting. The dough was hard. The chickpeas were laid between two doughs instead of folded into one nice soft dough. It was cold. There was no flavour to it. We had multiple people at home try it. We all felt the same. I am so disappointed. As I used to go here many years ago and it was the best place to get doubles. I would never go here again. There was a homeless guy outside the store who I had given what I thought was a really nice double, and was disappointed I gave him that as food. Not sure what happened over the years but it’s not a good change. As well there was one other lady with her that didn’t help the other worker but complained about how she wanted to go home. I got there at least 20 minutes or more before closing.

Use to be a good west indie place. Now price gouging people. If your a different race; they tell you a different price. My skin color or religion should not reflect the price. Each time I've been to roti n thing in pickering, it's a different price. I'm sick of paying random higher prices and having less quality & less meat in the food dish. Not likely to go back anytime soon. Unless price is advertised and printed.

Service was not the friendliest, roti was watery and not tasty, definitely not authentic Trinidadian. Four of us came in, two of us ordered 2 rotis, then they didn’t went in the back up assemble it and took about 15 mins. When they came back a third person in our party tried to order a roti too and they told her there was no more- even though they didn’t say that initially at all.. seemed like they just didn’t want to make the third one.

My wife and I love the doubles from here. We are by no means connoisseurs of Carribbean food but we know what we like! We've tried doubles at a few other places but nothing compares to the size, quantity of filling and taste of the doubles from here. The chicken roti is also very very good which we split in half to share! Service is friendly and clean.

Don't waste your time and money here. Just ordered a large curry chicken portion and wow what a disappointment. Watery gravy . Not traditional curry chicken you expect from a roti place. Won't be back.

The problem with us West Indian/Caribbean folks is that we have ‘gotten’ spoilt over here in Canada in terms of our goods and services! We’ve grown unappreciative of the vast variety of food choices offered over here from back home! Of course it’s more prevalent and widely offered in the larger cities like Toronto’s GTA, Vancouver, Montreal, etc. I see complaints in the reviews and my blood boils. If it was the only Roti spot to go to in all of Toronto, “wah yuh guh do”, you gat no choice but to love and appreciate it……right!! But no we go on and complain about the portions, the taste, the texture, the price, the amount of meat versus roti shell, etc etc! Roti and Ting serves up one of the finest Rotis ( beef, chicken, goat, shrimp or potato/channa) in our city! Loaded with correct portions and packed with awesome flavour! Kind and courteous service, if you’re in a bad grumpy mood STAY HOME!!! They have been around for years and years! This google review is the worst demon that avails you the means to complain and tear people down! Used to be one on one with the owner and he or she would readily solve the issue!
Footnote: the word Caribbean reflects mainly Jamaican cuisine (which is sooo tasty) and the word West Indian reflects more Guyanese and Trinidadian cuisine (sooo yummy). After being in this country since 1965 (as old as the Canadian flag) from Guyana and Trinidad I noticed the signs on the restaurants and grocery stores, there’s a difference folks!
So get out there and knock a Roti and doubles and stop yah whinin!!! Thank you Roti and Ting for providing quality service to us for all these years, heading there now by bus to enjoy bake and salt fish ( Saturday special only I believe) and might bring home a roti for dinner!

Went here for lunch, used to come here as a kid and the food used to be great but the quality has gone done dramatically.

Ordered the oxtail meal along with a goat double the oxtail with rice and peas was soggy and the oxtail itself had no taste. The double the roti tasted stale but the goat inside was surprisingly good. Likely won’t be giving this place another go.

On a positive note the service was good. But that’s about it. For $25 not worth it at all.

Their doubles are awful! I was craving doubles and was sooo incredibly disappointed. Thick Bara, too much channa and the flavor is just a NO! I could be wrong but I don't think they are from the Caribbean and did not learn how to make doubles properly from the last owners.

This restaurant was okay. I've been here and had chicken roti for lunch and water. I give it okay.

Wheelchair accessibility: This Roti'N' Ting restaurant is a small space. I believe it has 3 4 tables and it's on the main floor.
