The Social Bar & Lounge

We dined at the social for our double date as we celebrated our anniversary. We were served by Shreesha. She offered the most amazing service. She was friendly, attentive, polite and welcoming. Would come back to the establishment because of the bar she set. The food was great. I especially loved the nachos! Will definitely come back for a visit.

Visited this place for the first time, nice people, great ambiance. Placing an order was never a task, Shreesha did a great job ??

I had the pasta with beef on top with the 50 shades of purple drink. Looking forward to going back. The dish and drink were great!

We went for dinner with some friends to celebrate their 20th anniversary. Our waitress Shereesha was very good. She offered us recommendations, she was attentive and very sweet. She was quick and checked on us often and very friendly. We really enjoyed our visit. The food was tasty. Especially the hoisin beef nachos made with wontons instead of tortilla chips. I had the parpadelle with short ribs, my husband had the jerk chicken Alfredo, our friends had the seafood linguini and the hunters chicken. Everything tasted great. We all enjoyed our cocktails. Because it’s advertised as a lounge, we thought there might be live music but they did have a good playlist going. Overall we were very happy and hope to be back.

Great menu selection, something for absolutely everyone! Food was delivered in a timely manner and nothing was amiss. Our server was Teresa and she was very kind, welcoming and helpful in recommending menu options and serving sizes. We were also given a free birthday dessert as we were celebrating one in the family which was nice (warm brownie and vanilla ice cream).

The Use Cheesecake is so unique and a must-try!

We arrived mid afternoon for lunch... close to 2:30 p.m., so we were really hungry. It's very clean and staff are friendly. The server brought us water and took drinks orders. We finished our water and drinks before the server took our food order, although it was not busy. Whatever... we remained friendly. I ordered the house salad ($14) with herb crusted salmon (add $12). My son ordered the jerk chicken alfredo and my daughter-in-law had the halloumi burger. When our food arrived, my meal was wrong. They brought me the herb crusted salmon meal with a side house salad ($32). If they would have offered to let me have that meal for the price of what I had ordered, I would have been happy to keep it rather than have them waste it, but I am, by nature, very non-confrontational and they took it away. My son and daughter-in-law ate their meal, at my insistance, so it would not get cold and really... how long could it possibly take to make a salad? But it took so long for my meal to come that a couple of times they actually said "How long does it take to make a salad?". They were both close to finished eating by the time my meal arrived. The salmon was good, but the salad was the worst salad I have ever had. The produce was not fresh and there was so much salad dressing on it it was barely edible. I ate some of it because I was hungry but got to a point where I just couldn't eat it. My son tried it but also could not eat it. When the waitress came to collect our plates (never having done a quality check), I complained that the salad was terrible, and way over dressed, pointing out the puddle of dressing in the plate and asked her for a discount. Which took a lot for me because I never complain. In reality, after the issue with receiving the wrong meal, I expected her to deduct the full price of the salad from our bill, but they offered a 20% discount only on the salad. So, I hope the $2.80 discount is worth this review. We will never return to that restaurant. (Both of the other meals were delicious.)

I went to social with my boyfriend to celebrate his birthday and thalia went above and beyond to make sure we had a great night. She was very attentive and made his birthday nice great!

Amazing bar and eatery. Probably the best bar in Pickering! Amazing food, service and atmosphere! Welcomed from the beginning and thanked all the way to the end of my visit with friends. Jaidyn was our exceptional server tonight. Great customer service skills. Jordan was the great bartender behind the bar that also came out onto the floor to serve and socialize with customers, made sure that everyone was looked after. Prime example of a great bar! Will return ?
