I couldn’t decide what I wanted so I ordered a bunch of random things. Honestly every single thing was delicious. The oxtail was rich and tender, the curry goat was amazing, and the rice and peas were great. The fried dumplings, festivals, and plantain were all so good too. I even grabbed boxes of patties to bring home because I clearly have no self control. Everything was fresh, flavourful, and worth it. Definitely ordering again.

Food was delicious, cooked well and lots of flavour. I had the curry goat and a patty, both were some of the best I’ve had. Service was friendly, helpful and courteous. Support your local business.

I’m not the type to leave reviews, but this place must receive their accolades. The food is always fresh, consistent great taste and quality. Keep it up.

Delicious. Got delivery, jerk pork was on point, really nice heat level (I'm of Caribbean background), very good portion, seasoned beautifully. Curry goat gravy on the rice and peas hit nicely. No coleslaw but they put what seemed like some escoviche picked veggies in which added a nice acidity to cut the richness of the jerk. Also it arrived steaming hot (delivery guy was great). The Sunday fish soup was delicious as well. Very flavourful, nice amount of veggies (could have used more fish meat in it but it's a small thing). Definitely recommend.

Got a patty and white rice with oxtail gravy and jerk chicken.

Patty - shit (mainly pastry and 10% protein) you can tell they purposely make pattys with very low beef meat inside it to save costs, very sad to see such quality

White rice - dry and hard with no flavour (3 out of 10)

Jerk chicken - good and spicy (something decent)

Oxtail gravy - super stingy and not much on the rice even after asking for extra oxtail on rice and even stating that I am willing to pay more.

Overall, crappy first time experience and beryls pepper pot in ajax is soo soo soo much better truly. I was excited to try this place but way too overhyped.

I on 11 /11 /25... I entered this place Hi to the lady @ the counter and stated may I order small jerk pork and small oxtail she was very unpleasant didnt answer back just collected my money and proceed to the back i got home the jerk pork was very
Good the oxtail was all beef bones appeared to be used from beef soup the gravy was all thickened soup it was not that nice oxtail gravy I had expected i was very dissapointed.. and on top of that the lady who served me was very unpleasant and rude, when she gave me the food in the bag she tossed it on the counter and turned away Her attitude was awful... Please do not use soup meat for oxtail again not appealing!!!! Also lady please work on your attitude

There use to be a location by whites by they closed it before I got to try it. The kids at dunbrton swears this place is the best Caribbean restaurant in Durham so I had to go to their original location and try. I only ordered the jerk pork sandwich. I will agree it is the best I’ve had. The jerk has this Smokey flavour and it was moist. They have a very large menu. Will return to try other items they serve

They won't sell you individual hot sauces to go with your meal. They force you to buy the whole bottle. The profit margins on the mini containers is worth it even if you priced it at a $1. Management should reconsider that for takeout. No packaging is required and it improves the customers experience to enjoy their meal.
