Ordered a jerk pork sandwich and a beef patty. Both were awesome. Very flavorful and delicious.

Good the oxtail was all beef bones appeared to be used from beef soup the gravy was all thickened soup it was not that nice oxtail gravy I had expected i was very dissapointed.. and on top of that the lady who served me was very unpleasant and rude, when she gave me the food in the bag she tossed it on the counter and turned away Her attitude was awful... Please do not use soup meat for oxtail again not appealing!!!! Also lady please work on your attitude

There use to be a location by whites by they closed it before I got to try it. The kids at dunbrton swears this place is the best Caribbean restaurant in Durham so I had to go to their original location and try. I only ordered the jerk pork sandwich. I will agree it is the best I’ve had. The jerk has this Smokey flavour and it was moist. They have a very large menu. Will return to try other items they serve
They won't sell you individual hot sauces to go with your meal. They force you to buy the whole bottle. The profit margins on the mini containers is worth it even if you priced it at a $1. Management should reconsider that for takeout. No packaging is required and it improves the customers experience to enjoy their meal.
Yardies is just consistently good all the time. This is our go to spot whenever we are craving Jamaican food. The jerk chicken sandwich is loaded with meat and the coleslaw gives that perfect crunch.
They have one of the best beef patties in the GTA. There isn't a whole lot of places that have extra spicy beef patties anymore.
My husband always comes back for their jerk pork with rice and peas. And when requested they do actually put extra gravy which not a lot of other places will do.
Can't say enough good things about this place!

From time to time, whenever we were craving jerk, we’d order from Yardies and it was always AMAZING. But yesterday we picked up food and were shocked at how much the quality has dropped. The chicken was a bit dry and lacked flavor, and the rice and peas tasted stale. We asked for extra oxtail gravy, but barely any was given.. let alone “extra”. We didn’t even end up eating most of the food. On top of this, we ordered 2 large meals and one was definitely not their typical large, but we only realized this after getting home. Wondering what’s happened? We used to love this place, but after yesterday, we may not bother ordering again… beyond disappointed.

First time at this place as I was driving by, order thr oxtail which was amazing but the rice and peas wasn't cooked thru, had hard uncooked pieces, so I thought it might me a one off, I went thr next day tried the curry goat, goat cooked to perfection but the white rice was the same, hard uncooked. Please look into the rice situation and you will have a stellar business

I’m picky with my Caribbean food and this place is actually really good. I got the gungo pea soup, oxtail w rice and peas and jerk chicken with rice and peas. Everything tasted 10/10 except the rice… lots of hard undercooked pieces. Very preventable. Would give it another chance :)
Honestly the food is great. No major complaints there. My go to is the jerk pork with rice and peas! My Dad’s go to is the callaloo breakfast with food.
My issue is the service. And this was not a problem until they did their renovations.
My dad was a regular, they knew his name & order before he could give it. It felt like a sense of community and it was a nice feeling. I saw starting to get that too.
But since the change, complete opposite. Rude customer service, wrong orders, no care. I ordered there a day ago and seemed like the lady couldn’t be bothered with taking my name. I know a lot of people don’t care about this part of it but for those who do, better off finding somewhere with better service 🙁

I will continue to drive from Etobicoke for this jerk chicken. The chicken is perfection and the pickled onions complement it so well. 10/10 delicious.
