The restaurant does not honour the prices that are posted up on the board. When I asked why the wrong prices are posted, the cashier was very rude and confrontational and did not allow me any chance to speak to any manager or owner even by phone or email. The price is not expensive but it's about honesty and integrity to the posted price.

Eating at Yardie’s was a pleasure to my pallet. I had the curry chicken and it was succulent and flavorful. The rice was fresh and tasted fresh as well. I will definitely return to try other items on the menu. I recommend you try the curry chicken with bone in super good. The only thing I can say about this restaurant is they need more seating But it looks to me that most people just pick up their meal.

Hands down, the BEST Jamaican cuisine I’ve ever had from a restaurant in the GTA, in my 30+ years of living. I barely have any pictures of the food because it had to be devoured IMMEDIATELY! First time I ordered from this restaurant, I got the jerk chicken dinner, and fried festival. It came with plantain, and the portion was HUGE. I scarfed it down and figured maybe it only tasted that good because I was so hungry. I decided to try them again, and ordered the fried chicken dinner, fried dumpling, and boneless chicken roti. The fried chicken and rice and peas were IMMACULATE, and the roti tasted great but it was just the chicken and it was fairly dry. I decided to try again, ordered the same thing, and this time I had the option to add oxtail gravy to the roti, so I did that. Ordered the same thing again (added jerk wings to my order, also AMAZING), and requested they add potatoes to the roti this time. They were able to give me potatoes on the side. I ordered again because at this point, I’m addicted to their food..they made the roti with the potato inside, and the world suddenly became a better place! The food here NEVER disappoints! I feel like I have my very own guardian chef angel in that kitchen! Yardies is officially my new favourite restaurant ?

Best Jerk pork I ever had in Toronto! Great portion sizes, tasty and flavorful. Had their gungo peas soup too... THAT was a pleasant surprise. It was an enriching soup and the large was definitely worth it. They made me a fan of that soup, although I hardly eat it otherwise.

Anyways, back to the jerk pork and its combo---- yum ? ! I didn't even get a chance to take a photo of that.. lol ? we ate too fast!

I order a roti and a large and small chicken curry. When I arrived at home there was no chicken but another meat. We were surprised and disappointed not knowing what we were given and charged for. The food lacked sauce and the roti fell apart. The curry mystery meat was ok but I like to know what I eat. We do not live near by so didn’t go back. Will not go back or recommend it to anyone.

Writting this review as I’m eating cause this food is too good. Ordered a small stew chicken and was not disappointed. This is my first time trying yardies as well and I will definitely be coming back. Great portions for the price of the small, the chicken literally falls right off the bone, the meat to rice ratio is perfect and they are heavy handed with their gravy which I’m a big fan of. Will definitely be coming back in the near future

the jersey chicken I'd great! cooked perfectly. not dry at all! the heat from the jerk sneaks up on you. when it does you'll most definitely get another order.

As a loyal customer, I have been enjoying the delicious food at Yardies for quite some time now. The food has always been of great quality and the portion sizes have been satisfying. However, I am sad to say that my recent visit to the Pickering location left me very disappointed. The taste of the food has changed drastically and the chicken seemed to be dried out. Moreover, I noticed that the portion sizes have gotten smaller compared to my previous visits. This was a huge disappointment for me as I have always enjoyed the food from Yardies. Unfortunately, I will not be returning to the Pickering location again. I have always recommended this place to my friends and family, but after this experience, I am hesitant to do so. I have also decided to switch to a different restaurant, specifically Beryl's, for my future takeout needs. I felt it was important to share my experience with you so that you are aware of the changes at the Pickering location. I hope that my feedback will help to improve the quality of food and service at this location.

Bought jerk chicken and pork today and it was BAD. Pork is definitely old and TOUGH, not edible at all! Chicken was semi tough. If we didn’t live so far, we would’ve brought it back for a change. We had no choice but to eat most of the chicken and toss out the pork. What a waste of money!
