Writting this review as I’m eating cause this food is too good. Ordered a small stew chicken and was not disappointed. This is my first time trying yardies as well and I will definitely be coming back. Great portions for the price of the small, the chicken literally falls right off the bone, the meat to rice ratio is perfect and they are heavy handed with their gravy which I’m a big fan of. Will definitely be coming back in the near future

the jersey chicken I'd great! cooked perfectly. not dry at all! the heat from the jerk sneaks up on you. when it does you'll most definitely get another order.

As a loyal customer, I have been enjoying the delicious food at Yardies for quite some time now. The food has always been of great quality and the portion sizes have been satisfying. However, I am sad to say that my recent visit to the Pickering location left me very disappointed.
The taste of the food has changed drastically and the chicken seemed to be dried out. Moreover, I noticed that the portion sizes have gotten smaller compared to my previous visits. This was a huge disappointment for me as I have always enjoyed the food from Yardies.
Unfortunately, I will not be returning to the Pickering location again. I have always recommended this place to my friends and family, but after this experience, I am hesitant to do so. I have also decided to switch to a different restaurant, specifically Beryl's, for my future takeout needs.
I felt it was important to share my experience with you so that you are aware of the changes at the Pickering location. I hope that my feedback will help to improve the quality of food and service at this location.

Bought jerk chicken and pork today and it was BAD. Pork is definitely old and TOUGH, not edible at all! Chicken was semi tough. If we didn’t live so far, we would’ve brought it back for a change. We had no choice but to eat most of the chicken and toss out the pork. What a waste of money!
I loved yardies... Till they went and changed the cole slaw to some lame salad type garbage.. Please bring back the old coleslaw or at least have an option..

They got the best curry in the GTA, no question. Their jerk is also really good and always got some nice, spicy heat to it. The food is consistently on point and the best part, you will always be greeted with a smile.
Yardies needs some type of award. I just don’t know which one. From the moment you call, Shelley is the nicest person. They are one of those rare Caribbean restaurants that are conscious of customer service. Now for the food?? Omg. Yardies is always consistent. They’ve never failed on quality, quantity and flavor. I won’t go anywhere else. Period!
I bought curry goat today and it was the most horrible tasting. The rice is good but I would never recommend this to even my worst enemy. It awful ? ??..The staff was friendly though.

Got jerk and bbq chicken with rice and peas and coleslaw. The rice and Peas was cooked to perfection. The jerk us super spicy but not much flavor and the bbq is a right off. Their patties are delicious! I would def go again for that. Thanks!

Friendly staff & reasonable pricing. Grabbed a set of Hot Beef Patty. Quick service and quick pay. Better to grab a set of patties for the road rather than burgers, nuggets and fries. This is only a take-out restaurant they do have full menu options available for take-out as well.

I have been to the first location 4 times in the last week for a jerk chicken sandwich. It is consistently very good. Today I was in the location of the second Yardies so I got a jerk chicken sandwich. Not the same. Waaaay to hot. I couldn't eat it. Too bad they are not the same.
