We had a very relaxed and enjoyable tasting experience with Linda and purchased a Reisling and Merlot which were both delicious. I hear their pizza is delicious and wish we had been there at lunchtime!
Awesome pizza, good selection of wine, beer, and cider. There is also a really fun disc golf course on the property!
I went end of July 2024 with my family and in-laws. Ordered 6 pizzas, and did the wine and vinegar tasting. Food service was smooth, we ate it outside at the picnic tables available. The wine and vinegar tasting was very enjoyable with Linda! She was very knowledgeable and funny, and was very accommodating with some of us coming in and out of the tasting to tend to our kids. I purchased a few bottles of the Pinot Gris, and the following vinegars: peach, raspberry, maple balsamic, their premium balsamic. I would definitely come here again, very laid back.
We stopped in for lunch and I couldn’t stop talking about how good the wood fire pizza was throughout the day. We ordered the Aloha pizza, half with cheese, half without cheese due to dietary restrictions. I can’t get over how good it was without cheese. I will definitely be coming back.
Jeff and the team at the black prince winery are simply terrific. We hosted a night before the wedding pizza and wine reception for 65 guests and everything was spot on. Nice venue, good pizza and wine and most importantly super service. Leading up to the event emails were answered promptly and attentively. If you are in the picton area make sure you drop by for a wine tasting and pizza. If you want to host a group they will take care of you. Special thanks to MacKenzie and Sadie who along with owner Jeff and Lisa took care of us. PS. Their cab franc is terrific.
Worst wine experience of my life! Let me set the stage. I'm a sommelier, wine educator, and worked in some of the finest private clubs and restaurants in Canada. I've been fortunate enough to have tried almost every major fine wine on the planet. This isn't it!! I love to promote small wineries and help them get recognition, but not this place. There's a reason I haven't heard of it in thirty years in the business. Some red faced guy(daily drinker) was condescending and it's like he was too important to serve the likes of us. You know, people with money that want to spend it on wine.
I suspect their vinegars are good, but I wasn't that willing to part with cash after the wine experience. No door handle? Spiders and webs all over the barrels within customers reach? Overall a very very dirty place. Definitely not up to any health code. I happen to know a close relative in that very department in your area!
I wasted $29.99 ish on a bottle of cab. franc reserve. I'll delete my negative review if they would be willing to reimburse me $30 for the oxidative vinegar wine I poured down the drain.
We had an amazing experience. The lady at the bar introduced us to the amazing flavors of a flight of wines. She was so kind and generous with her time. We also tasted their vinegars (first vinegar tasting experience).
Fun time. Amazing staff, good food. Will be back for another visit ?
Pizza was great. Did not have the wine. Sat outside. Would return.
Worst welcome ever at the tasting place. If you dont want to welcome customers and make them feel they are not welcome why do you even bother to have opening hours?

Vinegar is out of this world. Great for salads.
Black Prince Winery & Canadian Vinegar Cellars offers a unique and delightful experience that goes beyond just wine tasting. The Century Barn & Barrel House adds a rustic charm, where you can explore the art of vinegar-making alongside their fine wines. The wood-fired pizza is a must-try, perfectly complementing their wines with its fresh, flavorful ingredients. It's a fantastic destination for a day trip, offering something for everyone—from wine enthusiasts to families looking for a fun outing.
The merlot is very nice. Dry and with a full body.
Our wine tour guide mentioned the vinegar tasting at Black Prince. In addition to a great selection of wine, we ended our stay by trying various vinegars, and the taste blew us away. It was one of the more unique experiences we had in the county, and we're thrilled with the service and the owner's kindness. I will absolutely be going back!
This place was amazing! Such friendly staff, asking your preference on wines before tasting was a plus for me as I'm not a wine drinker. I didn't think I would care for the vinegar tasting but that was delicious!! So many different flavors to choose! I like that ideas for dishes to go with the vinegars and wines were suggested also. And while you are there don't forget the wood fired pizza!! The vinegar went great with it!!! Definitely will be returning!
