We’ve been coming for years, and were able to get a table the final week of the year. Amazing food, service and ambiance. Thank you for taking great care of our family celebrations. Still dreaming about the gnocchi!

I used to like this place. Had a wonderful birthday celebration here.Never Again--now they have been revealed as a financial supporter of the Clownvoy trying to overthrow our govt and put Canadians out of work.Decisions have consequences, Mr Feller. Fascists will get exposed and shamed.

This by far my favourite restaurant. The staff, the atmosphere, and the food is 5 star. Laela Kay - Wellington

A great option for fine dining in the country. We were there wore thanksgiving as a three generation family. Our table loved the rabbit gnocchi. The grouper was also a hit. Would definitely be back.

The food and service was just outstanding!! Everyone's food was done to perfection! We would highly recommend the rabbit!!! But even the chicken and steak were perfect! They deserve the 5 stars! It's so nice to see restaurants get it all so right!

We recently travelled to Picton to celebrate 30 years of marriage and were fortunate enough to secure a reservation at Blumen. I wrestled with my choices with the server and the gentleman at the next table overheard and recommended the rabbit. One of the best restaurant meals I have eve had. The staff were great and the service fantastic. Located out of town but a small price to pay for the experience.

Our friend made the reservations in advance but could only get an 8:30 pm reservation. We had heard great things about the restaurant and our host at our B&B highly recommended this restaurant and told us that it would be the best among the other 2 restaurants that we had reservations for. We arrived 15 minutes early and waited at the front door but nobody was there to greet us. We stepped into the restaurant and were ignored but we finally got someone's attention and were seated in a side room and given some menus. We waited and waited but nobody came to our table to even offer us some water. A server was casually speaking to the couple next to us and then sat down with them and spent quite a bit of time helping them with their next morning bike route. Odd thing to do when 4 people at the next table are waiting to be served. Other staff hustled in and out of the room but ignored us. At 8:50 pm my friend suggested that we give the servers to 9 pm to serve us otherwise we should leave. The server settled the bill with the people next to us and aburptly left the room. At 9 pm we got up and started to exit the restaurant. The server that had served the couple next to us came up to me and apologized and offered to give us a glass of Prosecco if we stayed, however, the other 3 people in my party were already out the door. In light of how they treated us, I declined. I doubt that they would have had food out to us by even 10 pm; way too late on an empty stomach. I'm sure the chef is excellent and that the food is amazing but he doesn't have a quality support staff to make it a top notch dining experience. The evening was a total disaster for us as most places were closed after we left. During our time in Prince Edward County we dined at East and Main as well as Flame and Smith. Our server Dani at East and Main was superb and gave us excellent service and was tipped generously. The owner/hostess at Flame and Smith asked us to wait briefly upon arrival and set up an extra table for us which in th other side of the patio. That was a very nice gesture and she even apologized for the wait. Our server, Al, was also very attentive and we tipped her generously as well. Both of these restaurants were short staffed but went well out of their way to be accomodating. I hope this review helps others decide which restaurant to dine at.

My wife and I had dinner at Blumen Garden Bistro last week. The service was top notch and the food selections were very exciting! It is easy to tell that the chef has a great love of food, as everything is presented in a unique and refreshing style. This is not your same old bistro experience. We were unfortunate to miss reserving a table in the garden, as it was our first time there, however, we will definitely be back to enjoy the unique atmosphere that the garden provides.

Good atmosphere, great services, food could be better. I took the beef tartare it was way too spicy for my taste. I would potentially go back to taste something else

Myself and a group of 5 other ladies dined at Blumen last Friday during our girls weekend away in PEC and we had such a great experience. Honestly cannot say enough about the food and the ambiance. I made reservations 2 weeks in advance. I called one evening and left a message and received a call back the following day. They were already booked for the whole week before when I called so make sure to call well in advance for reservations. When we arrived for our 8pm reservation, we were quickly taken to our table on the back patio (I had requested to sit outside). The back garden area was beautiful with all the plants, lighting and a brightly shining moon. Such a lovely atmosphere! I was a little nervous about the service after reading some not so great reviews but our server was excellent. He was attentive, friendly, and offered great recommendations and wine pairing options. Great service all around. That bring us to the food - all I can really say is wow! The chickpea fries were a fun, unique and yummy appetizer to share. I had the rabbit over gnocchi, at the recommendation of our server, and it was so flavourable and rich. Definitely did not disappoint. Others had the fish and chicken dishes which also looked amazing. A few of us shared two bottles of the Long Dog Pinot Noir which we really enjoyed as well. It was nice to have a wine that couldn't be purchased at the LCBO. I would definitely recommend Blumen for a special dining experience. Everyone in my party agreed that it was a wonderful and delicious evening!

I do not live in Picton, ON. We made reservations to Blumen. Trying to find the restaurant was a total disaster. The signage was hidden from the highway due to placement & overgrown shrubbery. We drove over 10 miles out & then crawled back looking for the restaurant on a highway. When we arrived, we told our concern to 2 waitresses & they both ignored our experience.

We made a reservation weeks in advance and were excited to try this restaurant given the good reviews. However, we were very disappointed because of the terrible service. After we were seated at our table, no one came to serve us. Not even to check in or take a drink order. The room of the restaurant we were in was not very busy and there were multiple servers around, including near our table. Several tables who arrived after us were served. After waiting for 20 minutes, we decided to leave. While waiting, we researched the wine list and were disappointed by the selection. Most of the wines had poor reviews and there was a high markup at the restaurant. On average, a glass cost around $13 and most wines were available at the LCBO for $15-20 a bottle.

Meal: average quality and presentation, however very heavy tasting. Both the rabbit and the fish dishes were very heavy on the cream and/or butter. Not appropriate for a warm late summer evening. Perhaps a change in the kitchen staff since last year? Seating: our outside table lacked proper lighting, so impossible to properly finish our main courses. Skipped dessert and coffee. Manager: apologized for the lack of lighting and discounted the meal. Nice gesture. May give them another try in the spring.
