I had a Sandbanks burger and it's absolutely divine! Tastes even better than homemade! Loaded with grilled mushrooms, bacon and more! Service was great too!

The friendliest family restaurant we have ever been to. They are very welcoming to our furry friends as well. Been going here for years and love it!

Food was excellent for a beachside burger place. We ate here for Lunch Sept 29 2025. We had 4 meals which were all excellent. The specialty chicken sandwich was a 10/10.

Surprisingly good loaded veggie dog - didn't expect it in a provincial park, but it was excellent.
Best kept secret - this place is great! The owner and staff are super friendly! They have a great menu! You can eat there or take out and eat at the beach! We had the best club sandwich ever today! Thanks!
Breakfast was fantastic! Thx guys!

I highly discourage you to go there. However, it’s one of the few restaurants near the beach so you don’t really have a choice if you’re hungry.
The young girl working as the cashier was also not very nice. The boy working next to her put a fork and a paper on the counter, and apparently he asked me something but mumbled it, so I thought he was speaking with the cashier. Then the cashier looked at me and said condescendingly, “Ma’am, he asked you a question.” As if I was ignoring him… I just didn’t hear him as he didn’t talk loudly enough!
I ordered a poutine. It cost me 15$ including a 5% tips which I really shouldn’t have given (if you go there press the “No tip” option!), since I had to wait TWENTY minutes for it. This restaurant gives off the vibe that you can grab a quick bite, but no.. we had to wait soooo long it’s unbelievable. The poutine was okay, the gravy was very salty.
My friend ordered a HOT DOG. A simple hot dog with just a sausage and the bread. She had to put her own condiments inside! It took them THIRTY minutes to make it.
True, there were a lot of people waiting for their orders so they were in a rush, but I feel like they weren’t efficient at all in the kitchen. Only 2-3 orders came out at once. And we were maybe 10-15 people waiting for our orders. The look on every customer’s face was a look of disappointment and annoyance. They all had to wait super long for their food as well.
Don’t go there unless you really need to. Plus there are no refunds so you don’t have a choice to either loose money or wait for your food.

Delicious burgers and the coffee with ice cream was great!
We’ve been visiting the Sandbanks for decades and grew up nearby.
The addition of Currah’s catering to this beachside venue is fantastic.
Fresh food (Grilled Reuben sandwich & onion rings $15, Thai chicken noodle bowl $20 (YUM!), friendly service, convenient ordering and pick up around the corner from the back kitchen door to avoid too much congestion in the store front. Smart!
It’s USUALLY busy so be prepared and be patient.
It’s a large dining room with a huge patio and not a big kitchen. Do the math, people!
The place was hopping and of course some people’s food was ready before ours - because they ordered fries and faster food, and we ordered a salad with chicken, which should take longer!
Still, we didn’t wait long at ALL, and we even walked our meals back to our RV, and the hot food was still hot and delicious.
For the reviews saying that the prices are expensive? That’s crazy because it’s literally a diner open 8am - 9pm ON THE BEACH and far from a lot of suppliers.
It’s a remote location in a way, and the prices are less than LOTS of places in the County now.
OF COURSE you’ll pay a bit more at an amenity like this - and still - they have lots of lower priced options like giant boxes of poutine, ice cream or hot dogs if you want a snack on a budget!
Lastly - for the commenters who complained about not having open buckets of napkins or forks - you can easily ask for more.
My partner and I commented on this and APPRECIATE that Currah’s is MINDFUL of how much waste is leaving their store but also how much LESS waste will end up on the beach.
From the 70’s to the 90’s this beach was pristine, and now it’s often frequented by slovenly people who leave garbage everywhere. . . So THANK YOU Currah’s - we appreciate this!
See ya next summer!
*Sadly I did not get a photo because the food looked gorgeous but we dug in right away!
And THANK YOU to the chef who was expediting food through the back door who said he personally made our salad, opened the box to show us.
It was perfect.

I have visited a few park stores and canteens at various provincial parks. This one was by and far the best. The store is well stocked and actually has food and things you need. Less souvenirs and more thoughtfully curated supplies and camp food. They do have some though and locally made goodies from local small businesses. The restaurant is not only very reasonably priced. The options were excellent and the portions were very generous. You pay here what you may at any mid range restaurant. They do keep condiments and essentials behind the counter but the staff will give you whatever you request, ya just have to ask. They have a very nice dining room that’s clean and great patio. The food was hot and really a lot of pride was put into this food. It may be a grill at a park but they do it very well. See the pictures! The staff at both the park store and the restaurant were so helpful and so nice. One thing to note is they have one of the best selections of Chapmans ice cream - like all the flavours. The overall is this is an affordable, well maintained and thoughtfully run store and restaurant and I’m so grateful because we got rained out hard on second day while there was a fire ban. A hot meal and a supply really hit the spot. Go here and be enjoy! My partner said the Ruben rocked his world.

Quick service and excellent sandwiches that can be ordered individually. The buffalo chicken sandwich was seasoned well and served fully dressed with various toppings

food itself was pretty good. The people that served were friendly however, when you're paying the prices that they charge I couldn't believe that they charged extra for onions or pickles. That is just ridiculous. Those things are always standard. I think maybe the management should put a crowbar in their wallet.

Currah’s Park Store and Grill has some pretty good food, which was surprising to me. Unfortunately, the experience is soured by how they handle basic things like utensils, napkins, and condiments. Everything is kept behind the counter, so instead of simply grabbing what you need, you have to keep going back and forth to the staff to ask for more. It feels like you’re practically begging for a napkin or an extra fork.
