Visited here for dinner and we enjoyed our dinner date. The food was very good and tasty. Service friendly and helpful. The restaurant is very cute and nice and perfect for a romantic dinner. My partner loved her seafood stew and the corn hush puppies were very tasty and enjoyable. They were very popular and food was made fresh. Suggest going early, since they can run out of all the popular food options. They had options for vegetarians and were flexible and happy to accommodate guests.
This restaurant had such great reviews but we were pretty disappointed. Came here with a bunch of friends while visiting the County. The service was great, the wine was great but the food was severe hit and miss. Wines mostly from Nicolas Pearce so a good list. The fried rabbit was listed as a small plate (and less expensive) but in terms of portion size was bigger than the grilled rabbit which was listed as a large plate. Grilled rabbit was extremely dry, any drier and it may have turned into jerky. The squid and the fried rabbit were severely over salted. The beef was overcooked. The char was overcooked. There are definitely better places to eat in the County (and I am a regular visitor to the area).Spend your money elsewhere.
It was the first day the restaurant was accepting reservations, and there was a lot of confusion when checking in with the hostess. Most people did not realize the policies had changed and arrived prepared to stand in line as we did. We waited about 45 mins for a table and were just about to give up when we were called to an inside table. The menu consists of sharing plates which is always a challenge when knowing how much food to order. The Fogo Island shrimp were the least enjoyed, and the Brisket the hands down favorite. There seemed to be lots of staff working, but they did seem unprepared for the number of tables. I think every server touched our table at least once. Having said that everyone was very friendly and helpful and we were well looked after. It seem like it's a popular place for local folks and was quite busy for a Thursday evening. Although it is in a bit of an out of the way location, it was worth the drive from Picton.
Beautiful place. Tastefully decorated. Friendly service. We were inside with my friend for dinner. Ordered seared trout to share - delicious!!!, though the portion was not big and not cheap
Great tapas style restaurant. Come here with a couple friends and try everything ! They even have a great drink selection.
Just a fabulous little spot. Fresh, fun menu, cozy ambiance, top notch service, local flavours, reasonably priced, delicious and very repeatable. Will go back in a heartbeat.
Went for dinner last night with four girlfriends and we were not disappointed. We got 10 sharing plates between us and every one was delicious! The food was fresh, flavorful and beautifully presented. Amazing atmosphere outside on the patio. Would definitely go back over and over.
A variety of dishes served Tapas style. All were extremely tasty, especially when combined with a local ale. The server was knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. Highly recommend!
Hard to categorize the cuisine, but everything was delicious and in reasonable quantity. The pork confit, was particularly good.
Great food and quick service. During high season though, get there by 530 to get seated, or you may be waiting an hour or more to get in.

We went on a Monday night and oh man were they busy! For a table for 2, we waited an hour and 15 minutes - but it was absolutely worth it. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and helpful, and the food was absolutely amazing. We will 100% be returning.
Wonderful service! Excellent food! I had the Chicken Liver Mousse (my favorite dish that night), Cauliflower Fritters (perfectly executed, light and yet the batter was fully cooked throughout), Ricotta Dumplings (not a huge fan of cheese but I could see why do many people love this dish), and Pork Belly (slightly disappointed as I was really looking forward to this dish but the meat was slightly on the dry side). The service was excellent and they were super careful with COVID protocols. I would definitely recommend Stella's to anyone wanting an excellent dinner in Picton!
We were so lucky as restrictions had lifted the day before for restaurants. Patios only and after a great afternoon around the area we decided to go for a late dinner. We discovered this place while not taking reservations was open for dining. We heard later from the chef that they decided only to open up at 730 pm and were short staffed. We were lucky to get the last table before the wait list started. So lucky as the wine and food paired so well with each other. Four dishes were perfect for us and we dove into each delicious dish as they came. Highly recommend when you are in the area to make this a stop. They not only use a farm to table approach with local ingredients but their menu changes frequently based on the ingredients they can get. Check their website for the current menus.
Nice patio, kind staff, fantastic food and wine selection.I'm so happy the Chef decided on sheep brie instead of cow's as I'm lactose intolerant myself, this made my day
Great food & friendly staff. Definitely coming back all the food was so good!
