The Lighthouse Restaurant

This is our go-to breakfast in Picton. We come up for day trips/weekends all the time, I've been maybe 7 or 8 times with my wife and family/friends.

I'll shoot it straight.

If you don't go super early, you're likely going to have to wait for a table. We've been lucky before and been seated right away, longest we've waited was 45 min to get in. Joining their waitlist helps bypass that issue or show up 15-30 min earlier from the time you'd actually like to eat. You are also very likely going to wait a decent amount of time for the food to come out. Definitely longer than most diner style places, they take their time.

That said, very well worth the wait. The food is great, it's classic breakfast/lunch diner food. Never had any issues/things to send back on all my orders, I'm cool with waiting every time because it's always perfect and tasty. The staff is incredibly friendly, very serviceable, diligent on their coffee refills and making sure you're happy.

The atmosphere is lovely, it's small but warm and you feel the welcome vibe upon entry and while seated. It's the perfect spot. Only callout on atmosphere, it's not a big restaurant, there's only like 10 or 12 tables total, so if you come with a big group good luck. 2 is easy, 3-4 is doable as well but if you got like 8 maybe split up 4 and 4, makes it easier on the small place + you'll likely get in faster.

Staff very friendly and food is amazing . Feels like sitting in your own dining room . Kari and the girls always make sure my coffee gets refilled. We go no where else for brunch.

Great food, great service

The absolute most perfect spot. Going here for eggs benedict became a family tradition. The quality is always top notch, the service is quicker than any fast food restaurant, and friendly to boot, and the value is tremendous. Flawless - it's a must try anytime you're in PEC.

Very tasty but I don’t understand why restaurants choose to use neon orange cheese slices on sandwiches. It’s tasteless and unappealing looking. There are many better options. Also, the price states that sandwiches come with fries and an additional $1.50 to upgrade to onion rings. However, the bill showed the price from the menu for the sandwich plus an additional $3 for fries and $4.50 for onion rings! Change your menu to reflect the proper prices if fries are not included!! I didn’t notice until I returned home and I wasn’t pleased.

Great food, very friendly staff and cozy atmosphere to enjoy your breakfast!

Six of us went for breakfast before hitting the road to head back home. The staff were friendly and efficient. The food was generous and very tasty. Three of us brought home the left overs to have as another meal. Try the potatoes with the mushroom and onions, yum. Very reasonable prices too.

Absolutely wonderful restaurant. Food was excellent, staff really friendly. Waitress even helped me mother in law put her coat on

We visited both mornings of our weekend stay. Extremely friendly service and delicious food. If the clam chowder is the special of the day, definitely get it! Also if it's your birthday don't forget to let them know :)

They have a great breakfast menu, we have been a few times since moving to the area. They are very reasonably priced. Definitely recommend 👌
