1st visit …… zero expectations as we came from Burlington ….. checking out the menu from home I thought it was ambitious….. WOW was i surprised as it was simply amazing …. 6 of us for lunch and many different things ordered….. everyone loved it !The surprise of the meal was our server Trevor.Full stop best server I have ever encountered and I just turned 60 so I feel like I have met many in my time on earth.Bravo Team Portside Fusion what a start to a weekend away ???

The food was fantastic, but we’d have enjoyed ourselves even if it were terrible. The menu had a great variety, approachable yet creative. The quality and freshness of the ingredients were on point. The lobster bisque was a true bisque, right down to the temperature, not too hot. Think of a fresh pulled pint in an English pub, not too cold.It was Trevor that made the day. Personable and inviting right out of the gate.It sometimes takes a couple visits to the table for us to draw out a servers personality, Trevor was immediately part of our group. The food and the experience were so great it makes me want to own another cottage in Muskoka.Don’t even get me started on the pupper named Zeke…

Terrible service. We felt like an inconvenience to our server, Journey, and she spoke to us in a very condescending manner. Our water was empty the entire meal, we were never given the opportunity to order another drink, we couldn’t finish a sentence before she was walking away from the table brushing us off. We waited 40 minutes after asking for the bill and then had to go inside and have the bartender help us instead. The food was fantastic even though the menu seems to be slightly incorrect on items that will be included (no avocado in the Burrata salad, for example). Also, they do not offer gluten free substitutions, so options are limited for dietary restrictions

Had burgers at 27 dollars each . Got my burger cold like it came out of the fridge . I sent it back . They said they would cook me another one . Got another cold one . We were a party of 6 . Five of us had burgers and all were surprised on how pathetic it was for the ratings this place got and how expensive it was . We all ate it because of hunger . I will never give them repeat business . I don’t expect them to be in business much longer

We were so excited to check out Portside Fusion as we’ve been coming for years and they’ve just recently done an extensive Renovation and they did not disappoint! The food is amazing, we got “The Sea” and it was a show stopper. The truffle poutine is also an underestimated gem. The patio is just stunning overlooking the water even more than last year and the drinks were timely. Always looking forward to coming back

Well at least the view was quite nice. Our server seemed very hurried and to the point, suspect they were under staffed for the evening. Our appetizer, overpriced $42 scallops were decent. The beet salad consisted of 3 beets cut in half for $22 is shameful. The SEA $69 (seafood platter) arrived cold and as a result was chewy. We were certainly expecting much more from Portside and walked away underwhelmed. As a result we will find another place to eat next time.

PSF’s elevated terrace above the iconic Port Carling locks offers stunning views while the sun and shade take turns bouncing between tables.. Superb wine and sparkling drinks. The Lamb is fantastic, exquisitely prepared by chef Andrew the Panko herb crust is savoury and crunchy complimented by a healthy portion of roots and seasonal vedge. Service was flawless and we are elated to see Naomi back whom is sure to elevate your dining experience as the perfect compliment to PSF’s elegant ambiance .. A beautiful meal in a beautiful place.

The service was so slow. We waited over 1hour 15 minutes for our food The chairs were wet. The patio is lovely if was a nice evening. It need heaters as it was cold and wet No manager came to speak after we complained 3 times. It was disappointing because it could have been a good experience but was not.

Great food. Amazing back deck with river views. Server was upbeat, positive and knew the menu. Slightly pricey but a) it's Port Carling and b) it's worth it. Definitely worth checking out if you want great food in a warm setting with good people.

Food was excellent and has a really good setting for a fun night out! A little bit of advice, since you’ve done the hard part of getting the food right and have friendly staff. Get a bit more organised I watched food go to the wrong table 4 times. Mains arrive before starters ( maybe get some table numbers or some better table identification, different coloured salt grinders or something to help) and your pricing is all over the place the seafood platter is double the price of the one pasta that comes with twice the amount of seafood. It all adds to the charm and is definitely worth the visit and have recommended to friends.

Excellent location above the locks, service was very friendly! Only 3 parking spaces in front of the restaurant! Food was quite awful and very expensive ... $42 for 3 very chewy old prawns! Veal sandwich was undercooked, tough and tasteless and the fries were mediocre!Obviously, we won't be back!

Lots if fun with our waiter. Unfortunately the service for drinks and water refill was slow. Half the food we ordered was no longer available. The food was also very salty . Fun atmosphere though.

Used to love this place. Beautiful view and outside seating is great. Food was a disaster. Over-cooked, way too much salt. Appys were just started when main course arrived. They were out of 3 of the 4 mains we ordered. Service was poor (understandable and somewhat tolerated working with milenials). This place should be great ... someone needs to rescue it.
