very nice view and atmosphere, food was great, drinks were nicely made, great bartender, few flies need to be taken care of though.

Aug 31 - dinner I won't provide a review of the food as it was our first visit there for dinner. I will reserve comments about the food if and when we return for dinner in the future. What I do want to comment on that was extremely disappointing and irritating as a diner, was the number of flies flying around us, and into our food while in the indoor dining room. The indoor dining room was full of cobwebs, spiderwebs, dead flies, and lots of alive pesky houseflies which made eating our dinner extremely unenjoyable and frustrating because we had to keep swatting the flies away between bites. We cottage in Muskoka and completely understand the challenge with keeping the interior and exterior of a building clean and bug free. However for a food establishment, charging a premium based in Muskoka as well as a Club Link golf and country club - it was a surprising and very disappointing first experience. Our waitress however, Ella (?), was fantastic. She was sweet and friendly and we made sure that the dining experience was not a reflection of her. Please clean and maintain the indoor dining room Simple and inexpensive bug and pest solutions are available to you.
I had the trout....cooked perfectly with a fennel slaw. Delicious. Served with a lovely Chablis.
We have eaten at this restaurant numerous times over the years and this was by far the worst experience ever. Food was unedible … fish tacos that were mostly burnt batter, shrimp Caesar salad with a shrimp that appeared to have been from another meal (it was covered in dill and to the best of my knowledge, there is no dill in a Caesar salad), pork lettuce wraps … pork was mostly fat and unedible. All 4 meals were truly disgusting …

A horrible dinner. What happened to this restaurant? It used to serve decent food. It is now a bar with pub food and terrible pub food at that. Definitely not going back.

Go for the views and ambiance as the service, food and drinks are hit and miss. On our latest visit we got the crab dip which was fantastic and I got the chicken pasta which was really tasty. My friend got the oysters which had shells still in them and steak which was overdone.

The restaurant was very busy and noisy and our server, Sienna was excellent. The food however, was hit and miss. The drinks were superb — espresso martini, old fashioned and aperol spritz were worth waiting for. The appetizers — arancini and watermelon salad were next level awesome. The mains were hit and miss. The fish tacos were really good, the steak frites were ok but way too many frites piled high on the plate. The lettuce wrap was a disappointment — we were expecting shredded pork and crunchy lettuce and instead we got a big slab of pork belly (not cut up or shredded) and Boston lettuce, which isn’t crisp at all. The Korean Chicken sandwich was doused in hot sauce — all over the chicken and all over the bun, so that all you could taste was hot sauce. Our server was superb — she was dealing with a backup at the bar so drinks took a while, a backup in the kitchen, beer on tap that ran dry (but we were able to get a substitute beer on tap) and an espresso machine that wasn’t working. While the food was hit and miss, the atmosphere was pretty good and Sienna was smiling and gracious and made our meal so much more enjoyable.

Food was very mixed in taste, quality and presentation. Food and drinks were very overpriced for what we had. Appetizers (arancini and watermelon salad) were quite good. Mains were very mixed — Korean chicken sandwich was doused in hot sauce and all you could taste was the hot sauce, pork belly lettuce wraps were a big disappointment; the pork was just a slab and not shredded or cut up and it was tasteless and the lettuce was Boston (limp and no crunch) instead of a crispy lettuce. Fish tacos and steak frites were both quite good. Desserts were a disappointment — the ice cream sandwich was two small cookies with some melted ice cream in the middle. The cheesecake was ok and the brownie was served with soupy, melted ice cream. It was a busy night, and our server was doing a great job despite the challenges she had with the bar and kitchen being backed up, the beer on tap we requested wasn't available ans the keg was dry and the espresso machine was broken.
Loved this little pocket of love in Lake Joe. Service is great and food is really good. Shout out to Shanice for her amazing service!
Certainly will come back.

Korean chicken wings, steak frites, poke bowl, fish tacos, superb cocktails, a lovely Argentinian Malbec, beautiful lake view, excellent service ... there was nothing about our first time visit to waters edge that we did not love. We traveled from California to muskoka to visit family and celebrate, and we look forward to returning to waters edge. Just a perfect al fresco summer dinner!!

We recently went to this restaurant as it was recommended to us by friends and when we arrived I was a bit surprised. The view is certainly nice but the restaurant feels very dated looking and more like a cafeteria. When we arrived we were given a table with not enough seats so when we asked to be moved to one of the empty tables (we were the only ones there) we were advised they were fully booked. With such a statement I expected the restaurant to be full by the time we left about an hour and a half later but it was only about half full. This was quite frustrating. All that being said the food was very tasty and portion sizes were great. No bread was given for the table which also felt odd. All in all I’m not sure I would return.

Excellent food, excellent service and fantastic setting. Our only disappointment was that the wine by the glass menu was very limited. And no Canadian options.
Amazing dinner last night. The Steak and Frites was done perfectly. Thank you for a great evening.
