We have been going here since it opened but will never return. The new staff are horrible and rude. Major attitude problems. It was better here when they hired Port Dover locals. Now it's staffed by the Brampton/905 crowd who couldn't care less about customer service. What a shame.

I am not from port Dover. But I stopped in one day and it was pretty frantic. The boy at the counter and the girl on expo were phenomenal at handling the crowd. HOWEVER there was this short grey haired woman who was just a pillow filled with tacks. She was loudly belligerent to the other staff because they were a little busy. Her voice carried across the dining room. Mean and just disgusting attitude. Kudos to the staff putting up with her. I won’t be back because of her

1:35pmish Sept. 19,2025. We just went to the store and the person that greeted us at the door said it was cash only and just made it seem like it was a bother that we were there at all. She went behind the counter to take our order and said that all systems were down in southern Ontario, which was fine because we had cash. She was an older woman with glasses and short hair. She then started taking our order, but then stopped midway to start arguing with someone in the drive-through and she was visibly agitated, making it very uncomfortable. She returned to the counter to continue taking our order and I had asked if she had already got my husband‘s order in and she said yes, so then I started doing my order and then my husband went to add on a gravy and then she said in a very rude way to him, “what are you even getting it with?”
My husband had to walk out and I followed because the service was absolutely appalling and that woman needs to get her attitude in check. Maybe she needs to work in the back because they obviously can’t handle pressure and losing business. I won’t return.

Not sure why the doors were locked at 7:39 pm when the sign on the door says open until 10pm. If I wanted to go through the drive through I would. Pretty easy to drive down the road to get ice cream elsewhere though. Won't be back to this business

I had to leave a review on behalf of my wife and I. We ordered a small strawberry blizzard and a medium turtles blizzard. They were both over flowing with ice cream in a good way. Not a messy way. They were served with a smile. The premises were very clean and drive through was efficient! Thanks for making our Sunday afternoon that much better!!

Dairy Queen Grill & Chill is always a solid spot for both sweet treats and fresh, quick meals. I especially enjoy the Peanut Buster Parfait—it’s one of my all-time favorites. It is a bit on the bigger side, so if you’re craving something similar but lighter, the Hot Fudge Sundae with peanuts is a perfect alternative.
On the food side, you really can’t go wrong with the Cheeseburger, fries, and drink combo. The burgers are tasty, the fries are always hot, and everything is made fresh and served quickly. Whether you’re stopping in for a meal or just a dessert, Dairy Queen Grill & Chill delivers every time.
Walked in at 8:10 pm and right off the bat an lady employee had come out from the back and stated that the dining room was closing early not to mention they weren’t doing hot grill orders right now so it was all ice cream. For what reason? I used to manage a restaurant and unless your having equipment issues if a customer walks in last minute and says they want something off the grill you cook it otherwise your employees are basically just trying to clean so they leave on time and not put forth the effort but that’s not the issue here closing the dining room makes you lose business especially since me and my friends went to Tim hortons instead as when we walked right out the door the drive thru was already packed and we like this Dairy Queen but this is not the first time something like this has happened we have come here other times to the store being completely closed in the middle of the day and also to either just the dining room or drive thru closed the earliest we have seen this store closed early is 7 pm I’m sorry but I’m saying this as someone who has managed a restaurant. Smarten up and get control of your staff you as a owner run your store not your staff you tell them what you want done not what they want to do. I could understand debit machines going down and equipment breaking but just to close cause you don’t want to work as hard is absolutely ridiculous

You can't go wrong with the classic soft serve ice cream or for that matter, any of their ice cream specialties. It's always smooth, rich and creamy. I don't eat their savory food. I strictly come here for dessert. They have a little patio area to eat your ice cream outside because they keep the inside freezing! Bathrooms are clean and service is fast.

This has to be one of the worst Dairy Queens. They randomly close early. They are always having internet issues so half the time it’s cash only. The often close the drive through or the front door so you can only use either/or. Service is very slow. Blizzards are often not mixed well if at all. Don’t know who owns it but do better…
