Stopped by on Friday 13th 2024. Being a walk up food location, I was weary. Wow was I wrong. The staff are awsome. Knowledgeable, fast, professional. The food was incredible. The hot dog and bun amazing. The fries well cooked, crunchy and not soggy. Every fast food joint take a lesson. On a day when all hell breaks loose this place killed it. Awsome

Food tastes very nice and the price is also really good. You can put as many vegetables in your burger as you would like. However, my sister ordered bacon burger and they only gave bacon in the burger. Also, the bacon was not a real bacon it was a ham.

What can I say about The Arbor in Port Dover. It is a well-known spot famous for its foot-long hot dogs, having been around the longest. They offer a generous selection of toppings to load up your hot dog, and the experience is enjoyable. The fries are also really good, adding to the overall appeal. However, it’s worth noting that Willie Dogs, also in Port Dover, sells the same foot-long hot dogs with plenty of fixings at a much cheaper price. While The Arbor has its historic charm and reputation, you might find better value for your money at Willie Dogs. They both are great. It’s pretty much your pocket book that pays the price They have a parking lot that’s free if your eating there with 1 hour limit

I've been eating at the ARBOR since I was a young girl. The famous footlong and fries were a must have to start off your summer when I was younger. It's been a few years (eeekkk 8 years or so) since I was able to visit the Arbor and I have to admit, I was disappointed. The bun grew so big that it took away from the teenie shrunken hot dog... but the price also grew! It was $57ish for 4 of us to have a small fry and a footlong. No drinks. The fries were o.k. but I do remember the containers being a lot bigger and packing in a lot more fries. The taste was nothing too impressive at all!!! Yes there were a lot of condiments available... yes the service was rather quick (are these not made fresh anymore ?... our girl turned around and grabbed the food so quickly that I wondered how long they'd been sitting there)...and the server seemed more robotic then friendly. I'm so sorry for this review. It pains my heart to admit that a once very honored tradition of the Arbor has turned into something that feels and tastes Blah! An absolute disappointment and honestly not somewhere I would return too or recommend. Do better... and bring back the family tradition!!!
