No impressed with the overpriced tacos. Even less impressed that the restaurant charged my credit card 3 times for the same meal.

Fantastic food/staff/atmosphere. Funky patio/drink selection/entertainment. This cute resto has a patio which looks over to Powell Park and is fabulous for a quick meal & drink or lingering with family.
This fusion Mexican restaurant has something for (almost) everybody! Tacos with a twist, salad, nachos, guac, fabulous toppings on fries or nacho chips…the menu is perfect for large groups or small, carnivores (chorizo sausage nachos!), vegans, gluten-free, etc. They care about food allergies, and it shows. The menu is 100% gluten-free (except for the beer) and safe for those with Celiac. The Mule Port Dover closes after Labour Day Weekend, and will hopefully return next spring, again. Check out The Mule and Burro locations in South-western Ontario.
Vegetarian options: Vegan options. Roasted Brussels Sprouts Taco. Fish Taco. (My two fave tacos but all are excellent). Kitchen will modify.
Dietary restrictions: 100% gluten-free resto. Safe for those with Celiac Disease. Dairy-free, vegan, food is available. They are allergy savvy.
Parking: Parallel parking on the street,
and on the other side of the park.
Kid-friendliness: Child and pet friendly. Accepting of all folk. The staff is warm, knowledgeable, and conscientious.
Wheelchair accessibility: There is a generous patio with moveable chairs and tables. I’m not sure if it is one step or zero steps entering from the sidewalk.
The patio has a step leading inside. One of the two washrooms can accommodate a wheelchair, I believe.

We love this place for many reasons. My wife has celiac and this restaurant is completely gluten-free which makes her SO happy. ALL of the staff are friendly and easy going. The food quality is excellent and I love that they change it up. We come here once a week in a vintage car and always find parking on one side of the park or the other. The only bad thing to say about The Mule here in Port Dover is that it's not open year round.
Dietary restrictions: Totally gluten-free here.

Cute outdoor patio, lots to see with Powell park and all the walking traffic around. It's a great place to go for something a little different. If you want to fill up the prices are probably comparable to most tourist area towns.

Friendly staff. Outdoor seating nice, but very uneven patio. Food was what you expect for a chain restaurant that is mass prepped. Some meat was dry. Not alot of flavor. Room temperature. Did not impress us. Live locally, will NOT return.
(Our server was also petting a dog & did not wash hands before coming back to our table)

We love everything about the Mule in Hamilton. This location is also good. Service was good. Food was good. Patio was nice.
We were a party of five and our two gluten free friends were grateful for the fully gluten free menu.

Loved the food and enjoyed our drinks. Our server Kristen was a delight to work with and answered all our questions in a clear and easy to understand way.
Will return soon.
Parking: Busy town and parking is at a premium with no way for the businesses to have any sort of dedicated parking spaces.

Yummy tacos! We had the trio combo that came with guacamole. The brussel sprout and cauliflower were my favorites. Service was exceptional. Lovely hostess that came over a few times and chatted with us. Nice location on a quiet street away from the hussel bussel of the beach. Highly recommend

Tacos were horrible. I actually love this restaurant and try to visit whenever I visit Port Dover but this was the first time i felt their quality n taste has changed a lot.
Servers were nice, restaurant looks same as before.
Excellent, as always. Having Celiac Disease, it's vital I feel confident eating safe food. Thanks to The Mule! Service and food always great. I understand why the Port Dover menu was reduced. It's a tricky balance to keep a business afloat. However, we do miss the bottles of Prosecco, which would be easy for the restaurant to store. The calamari and other wonderful menu items that are missing I can work around. I'm just so dang happy to be here with ya.
Went for my Birthday. Out of my group I ordered first and didn't recieve my meal until the rest of the group was nearly half the way through their meals. My meal and drinks were compensated and my nephews each got a free dessert on the house which was much appreciated. Service in general was bad though, we had to ask for napkins twice, and my brother said he would have had at least two more beers if he was asked but they never did except once. Also, wasn't offered hot sauces until everyone basically had eaten half their tacos as well. And they were out of fries.
This was a lovely experience for 5 women after The Lighthouse Theatre Production. We all ordered the tacos in various preferences and thoroughly enjoyed them. I felt the nachos were a little small for a shareable appetizer. Overall we were happy with the service and ambiance! Good job ladies!!!!
