So, I’m not from around here. Was in town for a concert but was staying at a motel just outside Simcoe. I’d gone here for a bite to eat and some drinks before the show and headed back down afterwards. They had some live music going, I believe his name was Shane. He played some great tunes. The bartender, Justine, was super friendly. Had some laughs with some locals who came in later on. It was time for me to take off when I asked Justine if she could call me a taxi. She kind of laughed and said “I’ll try…” I guess taxis aren’t very reliable around here. Anyways, she reached out to a friend of hers and he came and gave me a lift back to my motel. Very thankful for this, as it would have been a long cold walk. That level of service is not very common. Thank you!

I had a great experience my first couple of times here, during the summer months and suggested to go here with my group. Unfortunately it did not meet my standards this time around. We had Pad Thai, the fun-guy pizza and the Feta penne at the table. Each of these dishes were completely drenched in oil. When I asked the server why, I was told the pasta was cooked with both oil and butter. I’m not sure why that is necessary, considering the results of the dish. I understand the Fun guy being served with truffle oil, but again, not sure why the need for so much. I absolutely love truffle oil and this almost ruined it for me. They offered to remake the feta penne and thought they were doing a favour by not charging for the second one. I still paid for the first. We waited almost an hour for the food initially, and our server did not come to the table as much as we would have liked. Unfortunately, this experience will deter me from returning. I am attaching photos of the second Feta Penne that we took home. It still needed to be drained of the excess oil.

Went during the day. It was a quiet environment. The waitress was amazing and had a good personality to her. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to eat in Dover.

Hells Bells Canada wants to thank you for your hospitality. Thanks Stacey for pre-ordering their dine in order to ensure they had time to sit down and enjoy a great homemade meal before hitting the stage. Beautiful place and great staff. Cheers

Went with my family last night (parents, wife and 13 month old). Got there at 445 so we would have ample time to order and get our food before the baby got hungry. By 530 we had to ask where the food was and our server said they rushed our daughter’s meal to the top of line. This should have been a sign. They brought her food 10-15 min later. By 630 we still hadn’t had our meals. We told the manager we wanted them to go as we had been there almost 2 hours and getting close to baby’s bedtime. We asked why it was so long and got told it was due to low staff and large parties coming in. The place wasn’t full by any stretch and we watched other tables come and get served before us. To top it off really didn’t feel much empathy from the owner who still charged for all the take out meals which were lukewarm at best by the time we got them home. A really disappointing experience for a restaurant we enjoyed in the past.

211 is easily one of my top favorite restaurants. I can’t get over how good their pizza is! Our family comes here quite often, and the flavor and presentation for the food never fails. Amazing every time! Service is always fantastic and atmosphere is great. Highly recommend!

The service we had was amazing. It was slammed and they still managed to be fast and on point. The food was good, but I felt it could have been better. I had the Brie and blueberry burger, and while it was good I couldn't tell but it had Brie or blueberries on it I wish that flavor would have been more prominent. We also had the beet and pumpkin hummus and again other than the color I would not have guessed either of those ingredients were in it, it wasn't bad by any means but for unique ingredients I expected it to be more flavorful. My date had the salmon and she really enjoyed it. We went on a Saturday night there was also a band playing it was a great atmosphere we would definitely go again.
Absolutely the best fish and chips
