Allan's deserves a higher rating than it currently has. Everything we ordered was VERY good. The chicken parm Sammy - stellar! This should be advertising and marked as an Allan's specialty. Just fantastic! Greek salad - amazing. French onion soup, very good. Drink options are good too.
Service was great and the setting is proper for a grill. Definitely a return spot. Well done!

This was definetely the best restaurant I visited during my stay at Port Elguin. They check all the boxes for the perfect place to go enjoy delicious food with a 5 stars service in a nice elegant and cozy enviroment and with very very reasonable prices. We were 11 people and went there late evening on a Monday, you could have expecedt tired staff willing to go home, instead what we got was a super welcoming nice and professional service from our server Emma, an amazing dinner with high quality food and generous portions and last but not least at check time we realize how inexpensive was all that great culinary experience. Thank you Allan's Fireside Grill for such a wonderful evening.
A member of our party asked the front server if there was space for four people inside and was told yes. This was while the rest of us got children out of the car across the street. When we all got to the entrance 3-4 minutes later we were told there were no tables inside after all (they were taken by people who arrived after the first member of our party) and the server said that we would need a table for five because one of our party is a baby (who obviously wouldn’t take up space, especially with a foldable pushchair that could stay in the car). So basically incompetent service, unfortunately.

They have a nice patio in the summer time. A couple sports channel televisions to watch. We found free parking on site. Friendly staff. Good service. Live music on the patio in summer on the weekends. We were seated without a wait or reservation both times we’ve been. Moderate noise level. Rib special 1 day per week. Great cocktails. Nice atmosphere. Good place for family or date night. Great food! Worth the $$$.
