Part of the Port Elgin waterfront charm for many years, and the best fries in the area!! Very accommodating staff!

extremely outdated cash-only system and needs to get with the times. also the ice cream was pretty unsanitary and had metal pieces inside and was dirty. not sure how this place is even still open. everything is dirty.

Horrible smell of old frying oil put me off completely. Couldn't eat my meal.

A great place to go for hot dogs, hamburgers and fries when you’re exploring the waterfront beaches, harbour or wonderful park. This fast food is delicious. Adequate selection. The staff are amiable. It’s cash only though.

We were quite content to sit outside the restaurant with our food and watch a couple of $600,000+ yachts docking in the marina just a few feet away! It made visiting Port Elgin for the one night worthwhile.

A local landmark. Grab a footlong and fries or maybe an ice cream and enjoy the view of the beach and harbor. Open summers only.

Fish & Chips is very delicious. Service is quick. I just added this place to my favorites in case we are coming to this area again.

Parking: Parking is in front of the restaurant just a few meters away.

Been going to this place.about 30 years.oe more. My ritual is a footlong and fries with a few days later an ice cream. I thought they closed down but see they have opened this year. Just started my holiday and can hardly wait to enjoy ritual once again. I love the location and the charm of the old vintage style restaurant. If you expect a high end restaurant dont go there. I so hope they never close down. It's a landmark and no new developments will have the charm that this restaurant has. And....hotdogs and fries are even better than the restaurant at the other end of the beach.

This was our family’s go to spot for ice cream. We’ve visited multiple times each summer since I was little. USED to be great to get a quality ice cream cone and watch the boats. Back this summer and TERRIBLY DISAPPOINTED. Their ‘regular’ two-scoop cone is a joke - two teeny-tiny scoops (which amount to less than one scoop anywhere else) for $4+. If you can drive over to Southampton, go to Fun in the Sun ice cream parlour instead and get two real scoops for $3.99.

Ain’t nothing like it. Support this landmark by just getting an ice cream and some fries with your tourist dollars. Then watch the sunset. It’s a classic. Place hasn’t changed much over the decades. A gem. Love that they’re selling historical postcards.
