The restaurant smelled terrible, the floors are disgusting with days old food on them. The tables and seats are worn and dirty. The bathrooms had no paper towel available but the bathroom sign off sheet had been signed off for the entire day even though it was only early afternoon. I will never eat here again. Also, you can’t give feedback to MB unless you have a receipt which the staff don’t not give us. Understandable because why would want to know what people think. I do not recommend going here. Disappointed

The sandwich was great. Wedges tasted like potato skins. Mac n cheese was gross IMHO (I prefer homemade taste over vinegary Mac n cheese). Service was ok. Employees were nice enough. Atmosphere...could be set up better but we didn't stay to eat. I might go again sometime. Maybe order something different.

I always come here whenever I am staying in bruce county which is couple times a year due to my work. Mary brown food is always great, I love their burgers compared to Popeyes. Plus these guys in port elgin provide great service.
P.S. for Muslim people they provide halal chicken.

When I got to the window the cook wasn't wearing a hairnet, or gloves, and was blowing on something to cool it down?
Definitely needs to get in shape over there.

I’ve been a fan of Mary Brown’s fried chicken for as long as I can remember. Recently, I visited their Port Elgin location, and while the restaurant was quite spacious, I was immediately put off by the number of flies inside. Because of this, I decided to switch to takeout instead of dining in. It left me wondering—if there are flies in the dining area, could they also be in the kitchen? This raises serious concerns about food safety, as it could potentially lead to contamination. I’m sure all customers would appreciate it even more if the restaurant ensured better cleanliness and hygiene, and implemented measures to eliminate the flies.

This is hands down the best Mary Brown in Ontario. I have tried so many but this has the best chicken. It’s fresh, real chicken and tastes great. The service is exceptional, we had an older gentleman serving us and he was amazing. The whole staff is welcoming and polite. We have a tradition coming to port Elgin every year and we look forward to coming to this location
