Queen’s? More like Court of Clowns.
We went out for a family dinner to celebrate my daughter’s birthday and instantly regretted choosing Queen’s. The atmosphere was bleak from the start. The decor is outdated, the lighting is dim, and the tables are the same scratched up surfaces they've had for decades. It’s the same tired, rundown place it was 20 years ago, just worse.
The service was painfully slow and the staff couldn’t be bothered to offer even the bare minimum of hospitality. It took over an hour to get our food. The kids’ spaghetti came out dangerously hot, one plate drowning in sauce, the other completely dry, with a random slab of blackened chicken slapped on top. My steak fajitas were just a fatty cut of meat tossed onto a greasy pile of onions. When we asked about the delay, we were told they were “busy with a full patio.” There were two tables in the entire place.
When we calmly raised our concerns, the manager showed up with sarcasm, eye rolls, and zero professionalism. Our group included two young children and my 90 year old grandmother, and still, not even the slightest attempt at basic respect. When we asked her name, she snapped, “It’s none of your business,” and then told us to leave.
If your group includes kids, seniors, or anyone who expects a basic level of decency, go literally anywhere else. There are plenty of local gems in Port Elgin that actually care about their customers, and you’ll be glad you chose one of them instead of wasting your time here.
We've lived in the area for decades. Queen’s has always been a disaster and clearly nothing has changed.
And judging by the owner's replies to other one-star reviews, this kind of rude, defensive behavior isn't a fluke. It’s business as usual.
If you're visiting Port Elgin, skip the tourist trap and go somewhere that won’t serve you attitude with a side of grease.

There were only 5 tables and it took an hour to get fries and pizza. When the food arrived, it was cold. Obviously, it's not the kitchens fault. I told the server, and she was going to heat it up... and wait another hour? Or microwave it? We said no. The fries tasted fishy so must have been used in the same oil as fish. Server was no where to be found when we were going to leave and not overly concerned about the food or our experience. Won't be going there again.

When we first arrived we were greeted quickly and our orders taken quickly, it took a long time for our food to arrive, and no one checked on us to make sure we didn’t need more beverages. Fries were cold, and my burger was not edible, it had pieces of cartilage maybe and fat. No one checked in on us, I went home hungry. The band was great.

The staff are rude, management is not any better. I could excuse it if their food was any little bit decent or fairly priced for the quality. I have given them numerous tries but always leave not wanting to ever go back. So many other options in the area that others should try before this place

We used to really like going here but since summer it's gone downhill. Service is quite slow even when it is not busy and the food quality is nothing like it used to be. We got the spinach dip and it was literally just a dish of cream cheese with some onions in it. The pita that went with it was burned. The kids pizza had no cheese and the quasidillas were very very soggy with the filling falling out making them inedible. We shared our concerns with our server who was apologetic but nothing was removed from the bill. Unfortunately we will not be back

Ordered the beef dip today and the roast beef had no flavour whatsoever the dipping sauce was the same. Had fries and gravy and I think they where from last week as well as the gravy. Very disappointed because I’ve had this dish here many times over the years

The pizza was the best I have had in a very long time. Ryan, our bartender was phenomenal. He always had a smile on his face and a beer in his hand for me.
