Went for Sunday breakfast. Nice atmosphere, staff was very attentive and pleasant. I had a breakfast burrito, it was delicious. My wife had the breakfast club which she enjoyed very much. Coffee was excellent.

5 star experience on a busy sunny Sunday. We came in for brunch with a toddler and the staff were so attentive and welcoming. They set us up outside with a high chair and get her a kids sized cup and straw, gladly opened the patio umbrella for us and were just generally very accommodating. We had a lovely meal and service was prompt without feeling rushed which is so important with an impatient 2 year old. Shockingly, she seemed to want to stay. We love Recess!

My son from Stealingthebloomfarmco, brought me to Recess Cafe today for the first time! It was excellent! The Maple Syrup Latte was outstanding!!🍁☕️. The cranberry white chocolate scone was amazing too! The staff was so lovely & the service was top notch! I come from far way to visit my son & daughter in law, & Recess Cafe will be first on list next time we visit for breakfast with my family! ❤️🎉

Recess Café is one of our favourite stops between Kingston and Ottawa. Today we enjoyed a delicious bacon jalapeño cheddar scone, salad with grilled tofu, and café latte.

We frequent Recess Cafe often and are never disappointed. Their breakfasts are so tasty, thick cut bacon, chia pudding, sweet treats we never leave without. Their staff are so welcoming and friendly. You feel like family. You must try them.

Drove by many times and finally decided to stop in for lunch. Very glad we did. While pulling into the parking lot we noticed a young lady, from the restaurant, waiting for us at the door with two menus, and a great big smile when we entered. The place is small but very open. Staff were very friendly and full of smiles, yes the staff was actually smiling!!!!!!!! As far as service was concerned, literally could not be better. The place is clean and very charming. The food, chicken salad and roast beef sandwiches, were absolutely delicious and very filling. Pricing is what one would expect for quality and freshness. Definitely will stop in again and try different food options.

First time at Recess Cafe - will definitely return. Think I’ll work my way through the menu, it was that good. Started with the breakfast club with a side of seared tofu and both were perfect. The service was excellent, the atmosphere relaxed and all-in-all a five star experience.
