First time there and it was a pleasant surprise. Beautiful views, friendly staff, quick service.
Will definitely be back
Fun casual dockside restaurant. Friendly service and great gluten free and healthy options.
We come here every year for Father's day lunch. But this visit was our choice for our wedding anniversary. Food is always deliscious - and seating atop is our favourite for the views over the cove. Service was extremely friendly and our meals came out quick. We love this place and would like to thank the staff for always making our visits the reason to keep coming back.
Beautiful views of the Big Rideau. Service very slow and food not very tasty. Would return but only for drinks and the view.
Amazing sunset on the Galley Restaurant rooftop
Staff were genuinely welcoming and helpful.
Food was hot and the beer was cold.
We will be back.
A friend and I went to the Galley in Portland last week for lunch.. It was a very hot day so we opted to sit inside in the air conditioning.
We were seated at a table so we could eadlsily see the water and boats coming in and going out. The view was lovely. Our waitress came an we ordered our meal of fish and chips. The serving size was big. We had home cut fries. Halbut, coleslaw and gravy. We just had water with lemon to drink .
We could not eat dessert but it looked really good. The price of the meal was good as the serving size was big. We are planning to return very soon with more friends. It.was a lovely afternoon. Beautiful area and a gorgeous lake view. If you are looking for a nice, relaxing outing, Portland on Hwy 15 and the Galley restaurant should be on your list. It is located at Lens Cove Marina. Very lovely, relaxing outing for sure. There.are outside eating areas and one on an upper deck also. Two thumbs up.
Impeccable. Crown jewel of Portland. Great food, nicer people.
Will definitely come back!! The downstairs interior is a wonderful tribute to the area. Our families have been patrons at this location during its many styles of businesses for over 100 years.
We went here for dinner to celebrate my Birthday last week. The service was awesome, and the food was great. The rooftop patio is a great place to watch the boats come in and out and enjoy the summer air. We will definitely be returning.
Just had new fresh battered fish and chips. Amazing! My wife just had lobster roll both with fresh cut fries. Certainly recommended.

Went for later dinner. We sat on the roof top patio, and it was super cute and chill. We had ordered two alcoholic beverages, super tasty. Had deep fried pickles to start, my husband had one of the burgers with fries and gravy; very delicious. I had the chicken tacos with sweet potato fries which was amazing. We then had the cheese cake for dessert. Our server was super sweet and great customer service.
Absolutely need to go back to try more items on the menu, and we can't wait.
Always a great place to visit for great food, service and atmosphere overlooking the lake. We visit often during the summer and will be back again. Service was quick and attentive and the food was delicious.
Awesome patio overlooking the water. Food is decent... standard pub grub. Gorgeous view.

If ever you are in the Portland area you must check out The Galley! Live entertainment in the Boathouse, amazing sunset views from the roof top patio and a very friendly bar that displays one of the coolest bar tops I have ever seen. A real Florida Keys vibe that must be experienced. Steve H
