Had a terrible experience at this dairy queen today. Came in to order, staff were slow, unbothered, not sharing tasks. Finally get to place my order which was very overpriced for the size, as did the friends I was with. We waited over 20 minutes for our food. As the line got longer and longer. I saw several people before me get their orders messed up and the employees were quite rude. When we finally got our food it was cold, tastless, and overall unpleasant. The chicken fingers were more like seagull fingers and the poutine and fries were abysmal. Ended up feeding most of our meals to the seagulls behind the store. I will never return!

Very disappointed to pay almost $7 for a small strawberry Sunday that had maybe a tbs of sauce and 4 bites of ice cream…I won’t be back:(

We usually go to Dairy Queen for a treat during the summer and get take out.

Some of our family's favourites are the Blizzards, Sundaes and the peanut parfait.

Our only thing negative to say is that they close during the winter.

I am SO impressed with Renfrew DQ. On very short notice I requested a birthday ice cream cake (same day). I knew that they would have to choose one already made in the cooler. But when my granddaughter said she would really like strawberries on her cake they made her a strawberry shortcake ice cream cake! Totally unexpected and 100% appreciated by her and us. I’m so impressed with the extra effort they put in to make a 9 year old happy! Thank you. You guys rock!!

Charged us $8 for an ice water. Outrageous! Complained to Corporate DQ , as well as the actual location. But neither Corporate nor the actual location responded to us even though we sent a Pic of the receipt as proof. Will never visit this DQ again!

Worst experience at a diary queen ever. Stopped in for a quick lunch with my family. First, the poutine I ordered was dry. When I brought it back up and requested gravy I was told gravy was an extra charge..on my POUTINE. Second, my partner asked for ketchup for his fries and was told he was only allowed 1 packet. 3rd, we had 2 small sundaes afterwards and asked for an extra spoon (to share with our 2yr old) The worker glanced nervously at the manger or supervisor before sneaking me one as apparently extra spoons are also a no-no. Terrible management- no wonder they have a hiring sign in the window.

I’m writing this review as a student who worked at the renfrew Dairy Queen location. The first year I started was the summer after grade 8 and it was my first job. Nothing could have prepared me for the literal torment I was going to endure from Bonnie. She would 1. Show me how to do something, then when I would do it the way she showed me, she would tell me I was doing it wrong and yell and scream in my face. 2. She has body shamed my friend that also worked here for being “too thin”. 3. She has physically pushed me out of her way, grabbed things out of my hands while I’m in the middle of making it, and also yelling at me for using our other register while the other one wasn’t working in front of customers. The list could go on forever honestly that is just 5% of what I endured from her. Last year, I was given all of the roles of a manager and I would close the store, manage closing shifts and crews by myself and when I went back this year, it was like they had completely forgotten that I did any of that for them and I was treated like I knew nothing. I had also given back $75 worth of sweaters and shirts that I had paid for last year because I thought I was done working for them, so when I went back this year, I asked the boss Val if I could have just some of my shirts and sweaters that I paid for back, and she said no. Even after I quit I still haven’t gotten that money back for any of those sweaters or shirts. Another thing I remember from last year, was another student was getting yelled at by Bonnie, and the customer that had seen this gave this student a $60 tip and advised them to leave the job because they shouldn’t have been treated like that. I could sit here and write forever about the mistreatment I, and other students have endured from working here but the boss and Bonnie don’t care unfortunately. Bonnie still, and probably will never be told she was in the wrong. I hope someday they will both realize that how they are running this business is not okay and the way that they are treating workers and customers is not okay.
