Best coffee I have ever had. Fresh baked bread. Hard to find pea meal bacon anymore, but here it is. Homemade hash browns. Eggs done as ordered. Jam is definitely homemade. Personally too much food for me. The day I was leaving ordered breakfast sandwich to go, again very satisfied, plus as I was on the phone, she brought it outside to me.

My favourite is the Hippie Salad with lemon dijon dressing, but everything I have had has been consistently great! Staff are wonderful, and this is one of the most community minded businesses on the Island. Fantastic partners. Thank you for all that you do for others!

Wonderful bakery and restaurant! The coffee was VERY good! Good breakfast using all fresh ingredients. Made to order! Truly the place to eat if you are on St. Joesph Island. Great to-go sandwiches and bakery.

We stopped into Black Bear Cafe for lunch after a morning at Fort St Joseph. The staff was very friendly and the food was delicious, homemade and fresh. I believe they were only open for breakfast and lunch. Just a note not a lot of dining options on the Island esp with Covid so plan your meals at the available restaurants

Incredible place to be for a warm welcoming by Hailey and staff. The most pleasant person you would love to meet. Breakfast is your real down home cooked meal with homage treats and Jam thats out of this world. If you visit St. Joseph Island? Be sure to pull in when you arrive on Island. Baked bread daily. Banana bread....ugh mmmmm Coffee ...well there's nothing like it...fresh and perfect everything. I fell in love with the place...
