The quality of the food at this restaurant is well beyond anything you would expect in the suburbs. The fish tastes fresh and the rice is high quality sushi rice. Generally you have to head to downtown to get sushi/sashimi that tastes this good.
The service is suburb, they actually make you feel like you matter and that you are at a friends house.
Finally, for the quality of the food the prices are more than reasonable.
I also like that I can get Soju at this restaurant as I prefer it with sushi to Sake.
I can recommend Akane without reservation.

Nothing was good!
We were a family of 4 people December 24th, and no one liked anything!!!
We ordered 6 types of rolls (very small rolls) which had few of fish and a lot of rice, avocado, cucumber and sweet sauce!!!
One of the orders was Unagi roll which had cucumber and avocado but no Unagi, which they replaced it later in a very angrily manner.
The most horrible was the service!!! Specially the waitress.
The waiting time for the orders was extremely long.
One of our table order came 30 minutes later when the rest of us almost finished our food.
During our stay in the restaurant, we were totally neglected even though we asked many times to come to our table
Won't recommend!!!
Won't be visiting again!!!

The place is very yummy with very yummy sushi and for some reason when my dad been there, he did not like it but when I brought my mom and she loved it so much and I loved it and my brother loved it and is such a great place if you’re a sushi lover to get sushi from.

Parking: There was a lot of places to park and there was really easy to find parking and we were almost the first ones to get in the sushi restaurant

Super nice atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff. The food is always impeccable, tasty, fresh and the fried foods are crispy. We became customers and always recommend it to our friends.

We ordered a Sushi/Maki/sashimi tray-Love boat and had a family birthday dinner. Compared to other places, each item was very fresh and the composition was very good. It doesn't feel like they used cheap ingredients to match the quantity, and they don't skimp on the ingredients. I enjoyed every single one so much.

I made sure to ask the lady what my order was exactly. I wanted to make sure it had avocado in it, and she said it did. After picking up the order and driving off, my partner opened the food container and noticed there was no avocado. I was only 10 mins away so I called the restaurant to let the lady know. She said "that one doesn't have avocado". I replied that I specifically ordered the yam and avocado roll, and then confirmed with her that it had both yam and avocado. She said "Oh, I misunderstood". I was charged for an avocado and yam roll................. I don't understand the confusion.

She didn't come up with a way to fix it for me, so I reminded her that I was 10 mins away and could go by. She replied that if I went there, she would make it for me.... But wouldn't start making it unless I was there. I found this silly because we were hungry and it takes them 10 to 15 mins to prepare the food, so why not start inmediately to have it ready? We didn't go back because we were starving and didn't understand why we'd let the original order get cold while we drive back and then wait wt for them to prepare what I paid for.

Anyway, their sushi used to be good. Not anymore. Waste of money and poor costumer service.

Sick of these people, given them the benefit of the doubt too many times. The past 5 times over the past year they've made a mistake EVERY SINGLE TIME. This was the final straw, today we made an order both their menu and online picture shows one thing the item and rolls made and given to us were completely different covered in mayo which one of us in the house is allergic to. Not only did they not admit to their fault and take responsibility, they didn't offer a refund, but an "exchange" and we're to wait another 30-40mins... Avoiding these clowns like the plague from now on.

Pretty good place to eat BUT recently went there at around 6:30 to eat today (sunday) and somehow i was told it would take 1 HOUR, yes you read this right 1 hour for 2 rolls of Sushi to be made. I thanked them and left after that. Please fix the issue.

Used to visit every Friday. But a few times we went there and the service was terrible. Specially when the older lady is around. My last Uber order missed the rice and the portion was super small. Won't be visiting again when there much better alternatives in the area. The $20 Sashimi lunch is attached.

The size was great and the rolls were so tasty. The staff are so lovely and kind. I will definitely come back ??
