My first time trying Amy’s Fish and Chips was on Good Friday, and man were they busy- as expected. Family owned, fair prices, and great portions. The staff here were busy but still provided great customer service. My only feedback would be that the side salads could use larger dressing cups but overall, a great experience.

Today is Good Friday and we know how busy it is so decided to order Halibut Fish and chips for our family of 5 via Uber Eats from here early in the day with an advance delivery window b/w 6:15 -6:45pm. Monitoring the app and all is good and states order should be there at 6:15pm. Then it updated to order should be there at 6:35. Suddenly at 6pm get a notice that order is cancelled and restaurant is not picking up calls and now shows unavailable. We call Uber and they are not helpful at all. We take a 20 min drive to Richmond Hill from Vaughan to find out what happened as good still shows it is open. Husband speaks to someone who says they see the order and they canceled because they turned off delivery from app at 5pm. My husband explains that we ordered way before that and it was not even canceled until 6pm. Person said they have now run out of Halibut and only have enough for their existing orders to fulfill. This doesn't help us and our 3 kids that we were waiting on food to be delivered at 6:15 but canceled at 6pm. My husband also heard the person whom he believes to be a manager or owner say if it is canceled why did he come. Very unprofessional and lack of customer service.

I placed my order for pick up at 4:30, arrived at 4pm, left at 5:20 pm without anything…. Customers who ordered pick up and weren’t present were getting calls to come pick up but not in my case. It’s now 6:30 and at this point, I’m assuming they’ve lost my order. Spent my money elsewhere. Poorly organized and managed. Atmosphere is not that clean either. Food quality is a hit or miss.

I’ll admit that the interior is pretty ……simple? date? old style? But hey! For the price, don’t expect a fancy decor!To be honest, the menu is a bit difficult to read and I don't want to be a fussy customer and ask for paper menu (I did see a few on the counter).This place can definitely charge a bit more, and get more customers, if they revamp their interior and menu, plus marketing.The oil isn't the best condition, it' acceptable, but again, it is not charging u a premium. I ordered cod & chips for $10.75 (after tax $12.15). It's a big piece of fish, taste ok, not too much batter, and order to cook. It's still very hot when I got home.I believe the owner speaks Cantonese.Overall, if you are near this location, don't hesitate to give it a try! Your money goes to the food quality, not the decor or service.

Disappointed in so many ways. First, it is not a clean place. Second, it is more like fast food, order at counter and sit. No decor whatsoever, needs a good scrubbing. Cod & chips was such a thin piece of cod, it was all batter. Will not recommend and definitely will not return.
