Before you visit, please make sure to read this review. I am very disappointed with the service at this bakery, especially from the manager, Ms. Zari. It’s honestly surprising how someone with such unprofessional and rude behavior is running a business in Canada. The products are often past their best-before date, and the prices are much higher compared to other bakeries. I definitely do not recommend this place…

I had a very bad experience at Baran Bakery and I strongly recommend that people do not shop here.
After doing some research in local Iranian community groups and reading other reviews, I found that many people had similar complaints.
The prices are very high, they refuse to accept debit or credit cards and only take cash. Employees also mentioned they are paid in cash, which goes against Canadian labor and tax laws.….
I have already reported this business, and I encourage others to do the same and avoid supporting a place that shows such poor customer service and disregard for basic rules..

I recently bought Iranian Sangak bread from this shop and it was honestly one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a bakery. The bread was of very poor quality — the dough was undercooked, the texture was terrible, and it even had a bitter taste. Completely unacceptable.
What made it worse was the hygiene. The bakery was very dirty, and I saw the staff handling the bread with no gloves at all. This is a serious health concern and shows a complete lack of care for customers.
I am extremely dissatisfied and will definitely be sending my complaint to the health department. I do NOT recommend this place to anyone. Avoid it.

This store is a scam! They kicked my 60-year-old mother, who has a disability, out of the store just because she tried to make a purchase under $10. They don’t allow using a card for less than $10 — that’s against the law and completely unfair to customers. In all these years, I’ve never seen such terrible customer service and blatant disrespect. People should compare prices and see how they treat their customers. I will be following up on this matter legally because discriminating against a disabled customer is unacceptable..

Ordered a birthday cake for a special day. The cake was dry, stale, and tasted like garbage we had to throw it out and the party was ruined. On top of that, Zari (the manager) was extremely rude when I called to complain. No solution, just attitude.
Waste of money, terrible product, and horrible customer service.Do NOT order and buy anything from here.

I rarely write reviews, but my experience with Baran Bakery was so disappointing that I feel compelled to warn others. Their cakes are extremely poor in quality — dry, flavorless, and lacking even the most basic fundamentals of baking. It’s clear they don’t understand the essentials of making a proper cake. The texture was off, the taste was unpleasant, and the presentation did nothing to redeem it.
I had one of the worst experiences with Baran Bakery. Their cakes are absolutely terrible — dry, flavorless, and poorly made. It’s shocking that a bakery could get the basics of cake-making so wrong.
To make matters worse, when we called to complain, the lady who answered was unbelievably rude and dismissive. Instead of listening or offering any kind of solution, she made the situation even more frustrating.
Between the awful product and the terrible customer service, I would never recommend Baran Bakery to anyone. Save yourself the disappointment and look elsewhere for quality cakes and respectful service.
Honestly, I would never recommend Baran Bakery to anyone. If you’re looking for a cake that actually tastes good and shows care in preparation, this is not the place. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Extremely disappointing customer service experience
Today, my wife and I visited Baran Bakery to purchase a yogurt drink. Our total was under $10, and the owner told us we must pay cash — otherwise, she would charge us an extra fee for using Visa or debit. We politely mentioned that this was the first time we’ve encountered a food business charging an extra fee for small purchases and simply asked about it.
Instead of explaining the reason, she became very rude, started raising her voice, and even refused to sell to us. She went as far as threatening to call the police, even though we had done absolutely nothing wrong.
Unfortunately, this is not the first time I’ve noticed questionable practices at this store, such as trying to push expired products and then arguing with customers instead of resolving issues respectfully.
As a customer, I truly value good service and honesty, but this experience was unacceptable. I’ve filed a formal complaint through the Government of Canada to ensure these practices are reviewed.
There are many clean, friendly, and transparent grocery stores nearby that genuinely care about their customers — I would strongly recommend supporting those instead. I attached one picture of the product how bad was it for you to be careful what you are purchasing. Thank you.

The Best sngakk ever by Amir
Just check the date on any item you want to buy, because if you don’t and just trust what they say, they’ll tell you it’s fine — but you might later find out it’s expired, based on my experience!
