Tried Bayview Kitchen for a noodle lunch, and let’s just say… the portions were big, but unfortunately the flavours didn’t grow with them. The wonton, beef brisket, and satay beef all tasted like they accidentally left their personalities at home. Nothing was terrible — just incredibly forgettable.
To be fair, we didn’t try their rice dishes or baked items. Maybe that’s where the magic happens… but based on this visit, there wasn’t enough excitement on the table to convince us to come back and find out.
If you’re starving and only care about quantity, this place checks the box. If you’re looking for something memorable? Eh… good luck.

My first time ordered from Bayview Kitchen and to my delight, this is a hidden gem! Food, service and price are hard to beat. This will be my 'go to' place going forward. :)

I live nearby and have been eating at this restaurant for over two years. For those who eat Cantonese cuisine, the taste seems neither good nor bad. What I particularly feel is the service attitude. Especially the elderly lady in the store who has darker skin and is rather thin, she always has a very bad attitude. This time when I went there for a meal, she didn't even give me a glass of water. When ordering, she stood two tables apart to write the order. But to some other guests, especially the men, she greeted them with a smile. When the guests finished their soup, she even asked if they wanted more. Everyone is a neighbor. This kind of differentiated dining experience makes people prefer to go a bit further to have a meal rather than go there again.

It was strange, the dishes I ordered (spaghetti bolognese and iced lemon tea) were really delicious, but my bf got Portuguese chicken and iced ying yuen and he said they both tasted weird/not normal. The Portuguese chicken contained pineapple which was unexpected, and he said the ying yuen just didn't taste that good compared to what he's had before. I agree that there really shouldn't be pineapple in Portuguese chicken, but I can't confirm whether it tasted bad or not; I guess if you love pineapple you might enjoy it. They also give a starter soup, and we were given the corn soup, and that was super yummy. Overall it was an average experience for an HK cafe, and depending on what you get it can be a hit or miss.

We ordered the sesame chicken and it was sooo good! Just the right amount of breading to meat ratio. The lady was also super nice and gave me dessert and soup. I will definitely come back here.

I haven’t been to this place for a while and the food is still very good. The Singapore fried vermicelli not too oily and it hits the spot. The salted fish chicken fried rice is so flavourful it’s just amazing. Love the big menu, it’s perfect for the elders 🤣
