Me and two of my friends visited this cafe for a weekend brunch. We got the lobster bisque, a flat white, and iced mixed fruit tea.
I have a big issue with the service we received. Although the soup arrived quickly, the flat white and iced mixed fruit tea took a very, very long time. I would say we were left waiting for a good 15-20 minutes. I saw multiple tables being sat and served between us ordering and getting our drinks. On multiple occasions we would try to catch the eye of a passing server, only to be ignored. We could plainly see two servers at the front, not doing anything but standing and chatting. When the fruit tea finally came, the server placed it roughly without looking at us and left brusquely. No eye contact, no smile, and he didn’t even turn back when I started to ask about the flat white, which still hadn’t come! The fruit tea was too sweet and all the fruit was frozen together in one big clump. The flat white, when it came, was lukewarm as well. One server was awful, but the other, younger one was better. I don’t know if it was because we ordered a small amount of items or because we were talking too excitedly, but that shouldn’t excuse bad service! Needless to say, we didn’t tip.

Food presentation, price, service and ambiance are all great! But the hollandaise sauce for the smoked salmon Benedict was too sweet and tangy for my liking, and the bread was too soggy.

Small little cafe in Richmond Hill In. Good for business lunch with clients, quiet and simple foods, no messy dishes. They have vegetarian options and vegan dishes. For sure you can get something you like.

I came in at noon on a Thursday to sit down with my 8 month old son for a little break from the heat. At first they tried to tell me they did not have anywhere to seat me with the stroller, despite having two small tables at the front available. I mentioned that I can put the stroller aside and they then let me sit down and put my stroller to the side. I ordered a latte and waited 30 minutes without it being brought out, so I informed the waiter I would be leaving. About 15 minutes in I was assured by the waiter that it was “coming right away”, and several wait staff and hostesses passed by me during that time. The waiter actually thought I had not ordered yet when I told him I had already been waiting. Such a disappointment and I will not be returning. I’ve never been ignored for a half hour after ordering before! People who came after me even got served before me!
Food is good but service needs to be better. Don’t clank plates and cups onto the table. Would be nice to explain or give the name of the dishes that come to the table. Great spots, just needs to be a little better.

Cafe Bon Bon has a cozy and welcoming vibe, perfect for relaxing. I met up with my sister and 2 friends. The food tasted really good, fresh and flavorful. Everyone enjoyed the food. I had the smoke salmon benedict. It was really good. To drink , I had pineapple limeade, it was very refreshing. Service was okay, not bad but could be a bit more attentive. Overall, a nice place to unwind with a good meal. Would come back!

3.5 stars. I recommend calling before or making a reso as it was quite busy when I went around 2pm on a weekday. We ordered the mushroom deluxe and soufflé pancake. Omelette could have used a bit more salt but overall it was very tasty. Soufflé pancake was a bit mushy inside and tasted like I was eating raw batter at times. Not sure if that’s the standard for soufflé pancakes but I feel as if they were slightly under done. Good prices and good portion sizes. Service could be a bit better but it was really busy. Overall, I recommend! Lots of different foods and drinks to try on the menu.
The food was delicious.
Ordered:
Eggs Benedict with Salmon
Came with Yukon fries and yam. Not too heavy just perfect quantity
The eggs Benedict were sumptuous with toast, salmon, cherry tomatoes, arugula and broccoli. A healthy breakfast might I add.
The matcha latte was good...not too sweet but not bitter either.
The place was cozy and had a lot of sunshine. I got a discount too!

Used to LOVE this place when I was in high school. But now it’s actually gone bad. I ordered the soft shell crab carbonara and it was too salty. Had no flavour. Also got the soufflé and it was very wet inside. When I tried to pick it up to eat, it falls apart and couldn’t stay in shape. Feels like it wasn’t cooked properly so it’s raw inside. Salmon tartare was just okay. Thai seafood linguine used to be way better. And it was $137 for two people. Definitely not worth it.
