Food is excellent, and I appreciate how they use proper heat safe food containers. (I have received delivery of scolding hot soup in a clear plastic bag at other places where it was stretching from being melted).
I would say that this is the best Korean restaurant in the area simply because of the food quality. It's a hidden gem in a quiet plaza on Bayview just south of Elgin Mills.

It was a Saturday and we just finished dinner there. Service was great and genuine. The gentlemen was polite and kind. The lady also asked if we liked the food.Food was great and good price.We are just wondering why it not as busy. More people should visit and support family businesses like this.This place brings us back in time and has a unique vibe which we like.

The gentleman taking the order is so friendly and accommodating! We were choosing between two Korean restaurants, and decided to try 친구. So happy we did ! were also going to do take out but decided to eat there, so delicious eating it all warm! Memorable lunch it turned out in a simple restaurant. We will certainly go back again the next time we visit the city!

Kanpongki- Sweet sour light spicy fried chicken. Crispy and delicious Galbi Jim- tastes similar to bulgogi but its not thin beef, had a lot of gravy and onions carrot and radish, the beef was so tender and good. Fam loved the flavors here. Jajang myun- was okay as in noodles were good, gravy wasn't as strong as some other places but hits the spot still. A casual Korean restaurant friendly service, and good food. Will try more next time.
