Food wasn’t not bad, very much like home cooking (something your mom cooks for you). Dishes were not too greasy and light in taste. However, the noise level inside was so high that I almost left (if not to meet friends there, I would have left). You could hardly hear yourself, not to mentioned hearing others. We came to Da Shi Xiong – Modern Shunde Cuisine and absolutely loved it! My friends and I were all impressed — not only was the food delicious, but the restaurant itself is beautifully designed and very comfortable.
We especially enjoyed the sheng lao (marinated raw fish) and the duck dish — both were so flavorful and authentic. Definitely one of the best modern Cantonese/Shunde-style restaurants we’ve tried in Toronto. Highly recommend!

The Big Brother is a fantastic new spot in Richmond Hill! Their Shun De Cantonese cuisine is authentic, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. A true taste of tradition — I’ll definitely be coming back!
