Food is pretty good, but they did not manage to get one of dish out during our 1.5 hrs dining time.
The most memorable is the smell of the washroom. It smells so bad worse than a porta potty or an outhouse. Disgusting
Please clean your washroom!!!!!!

The staff at this restaurant were very nice and accommodating. When I asked if they could lower the air conditioning, they were happy to help and kindly explained why it was warm inside. The duck was absolutely delicious, juicy and full of flavor. Great experience overall!

Seeing the poor reviews are surprising as my girlfriend and her family have been coming here for years and have always enjoyed the food. This is my second time dining here and it continued to be delicious. Had no problem getting a table of 4 on a Wednesday night.
The spinach salad with peanuts (花生菠菜) was a smaller portion than I expected, but was incredibly refreshing alongside some of the hotter dishes.
Instead of mapu tofu we decided to try the tofu crab roe (蟹黄豆腐) and it was my favorite of the night. The rich flavours and creamy texture was perfect on rice. This was probably my favorite dish of the night.
EDIT: I returned here in Sept 2025 - they have changed the tofu crab roe and it isn't as excellent as it once was back in 2024.
We also got the standard peking duck (标准北京烤鸭) which while it was good, wasn't a huge portion. We ended up running out of cucumbers & meat well before the wrappings.
The last dish we got was the fish in hot chilli oil (金牌水煮鱼) I wouldn't say the flavours were mind-blowing, but the tenderness of the fish that melted in your mouth was delicious. It remained moist and wasn't overly flaky.
The server was also quite friendly, and before taking away our tofu crab roe, helped scoop up any remaining bits to give to us. We stayed well until close and they never rushed us or made us feel like we needed to leave. It sounds like service is the polarizing topic in the reviews, but it sounds like it all depends on the experience.
All of the above for 4 people + tip came out to less than $40 per person which is good value in my opinion.

Food was good enough for its price, the dishes are actually in the cheaper side relative to its portion, especially with the members price. We loved the slow brewed pear juice, very rich texture.
20 cad for 2 years membership and can save 1 -3 dollars per dish.

The food was slightly above average, but the service was basically non-existent, which really took away from the overall dining experience.

Had a visit to Dayali for some Peking Duck. We tried the $599 set dinner with a group of 10. They had a few interesting dishes which deserves bonus points. The taste of the dishes was mostly good. The Peking Duck was done in a traditional format and the wrapping and sides were done well. However, the steamed fish and lobster was a bit of a disappointment as it wasn't very fresh, although it still tasted good. Servers were friendly but they seemed to be a bit under staffed which caused service to be a bit slow.

Washroom was very bad smelly. Service was bad. Food quality was getting worse...
Ordered a 鍋包肉 and every piece was ALL batter. NO meat. It was like eating fried flour. Service was very slow, had to wait 5 minutes for the server to come each time, despite raising up my hand. This restaurant clearly does not staff enough employees.

Went to try their infamous roast duck during lunch and there were plenty of tables available. Ordered other dishes and they were pretty average. The roasted duck however was beyond our expectation. The skin was crispy and the meat was moist. The rice paper, side dishes and the salt&pepper carcass were above average. A dish worth trying was the fried taro rolls with black sesame seeds. It was less oily than expected, light and well prepared. Would go back and try their lamb dishes with an update to follow.
