Just had to leave a Google review, I am sure glad I found this place. I forgot my coffee mug at home and really needed a coffee. I walked in and thought it was a generic overpriced cafe selling pastries that look good but are dull in flavor. I couldn't have been more wrong, I had the turkey béchamel which was flavorful and well balanced with such a rich sauce. I couldn't help it and I have to try the honey toast b.c it was calling me. Butter floral flavors with sticky honey and chewy mochi in the middle. To follow I had a honey oat late, im not a late guy. They're always watery or too milky for my liking but this was a robust late and the coffee came through the milk with a full flavoured body. The price way more than I would want to pay on the regular at $27 with a $4 tip for 2 pastries and a late but the truth is. Its absolutely worth it, everything was delicious and the portion were perfect. I highly recommend this place, its an adventure for your tastebuds.

Never tried Salmon squish before and I am already in love with it. Are you into desert, name it and you will find your matching mate here.
Pastries melts in your mouth while you here that fresh crunch between your lips.
The coffee wake you up with that gently firm kick.
Place is cozy and calming atmosphere with nice staff. I wish 2 things, they would smile back at you and have halal meat options.
By the way, No WiFi 😁😁🔙. It is better to have someone you really like to enjoy their company.

Workers are nice but I don't know why you guys don't have hot chocolate. Only reason why I gave 5 star was because the cashier was nice.
Please get it? It's so basic. Nice worker tho.
I understand why it’s so busy here. The matcha ice is the second best I had after Kyoto. Not sweet but well defined matcha taste. High quality matcha. Probably from Kyoto 😄

I do like Duo, however, as a customer it's extremely off putting to have me leave my belongings on a table (purse, phone, keys, etc.) to not only come and pick up drinks but also to balance a cup full across the restaurant to my table. It really doesn't take much to have an employee do so, that way customers aren't paranoid about their items being left behind alone and spilling or dropping a drink on the floor. Please change the buzzer / pick up policy. With each visit, I'm spending as much as I would for a meal at a restaurant, and this concept isn't ideal for a cafe of this caliber as it's not a cafeteria style cafe and the prices do not reflect that either. To add, there is a $1 fee for decaf which is quite comical and again, off putting.
Limited number of seats and always busy hut amazingly delicious pastry and sandwiches. Its my first go to for meeting. It would be amazing if they can have a section for a little more private conversations like sofa. Now you talk next person is literally listening to everything but their food is one of the best I have ever tried. 👌🏻

I've been coming to Duo for many years now and they are hands down the best croissant! All of their pastries and sandwiches are also delicious, and their cakes are wonderful.
Friendly service, clean cafe, and a great vibe. I look forward to our weekly visits!

Good place to meet friends, go on a date, do some work, or study. Highly recommend the Apple danish (if you love apples) and the mushroom focaccia was right up my alley. The chocolate book was so-so bc I didn't like the cream filling, so I probably wouldn't order that again. Overall great experience EXCEPT the A/C here is ON BLAST. Was I the only one who was shivering in here?! I had to get extra hot water after my hojicha latte bc I was freezing. It was actually so uncomfortable and it felt like the wind was right on me. If you come here and plan to stay more than 10 minutes, bring a sweater!!!!!!!!!!
One of the best dessert and bakery shops in the Markham area—perhaps the best. It completely outclasses those outdated Hong Kong–style bakeries, and even by the standards of China’s top-tier cities like Shanghai today, it remains highly competitive and outstanding.

Have been DUO’s loyal customer for years, but recently had bad experiences twice in a row.
First time I ordered a bunch of products, the staff forgot to give me a sandwich and reheat all of my pastries which I only requested to heat one sandwich🤣I had to go back the next day to grab the rest one but they don’t have any apologize.
After two weeks I ordered a Mont Blanc ice-cream cake by phone, they double checked the details and message I requested, but turns out they gave me the wrong flavor with other person’s message on it. (My husband picked the cake and he said this cake is surely under his number and name)…🤣I called but no one answered the phone and they didn’t call back either for any explanation. I messaged on Instagram and obviously no one read.
I do like DUO’s products but the service obviously needs a lot improvement. I am very very very disappointed.
