Food is amazing
Rude woman at the counter. Very bad service.
Avoid this place.
$21 for this meal (cha siu, red sausage, roasted duck and rice) is a great deal!
Not only you get a minute portion of meat, but also 60% was fatty.
I wouldn't complain if this was $15, but if you're charging that much and only cash is allowed, please don't humiliate me!
Go get chinese BBQ at First Markham Place, there's a reason why the line is so long there.
Good Luck
Saw someone else post similarly. They charged $30 for half a duck plus a salted egg and most of it was neck. Didn’t know if it was just because we are CBCs and don’t know better but it seems like it’s not just us. It’s good if you’re extremely hungry and don’t care for value.
Terrible serving size, false advertisement!
The menue shows a drink and soup with every order for $15!! When asked about the can of pop in the menu they just laughed at me. Never going back
This place cheats!! They steal your bbq meat when you buy takeouts. We bought half a roast duck to take home, the whole bottom was duck head, neck and top layer was mostly pieces with skin and bone !! The roast pork was all fat on the bottom!!
Don’t ever buy from them!!
Food quality has seriously dropped over the years… my roast pork was super salty and just a mouthful of fat. The bbq pork was the dry overcooked bits that I will now need to repurpose into something else. The butcher was rude and had some serious attitude which was also a turn off. Should have turned around and left before I spent $27 on my roast pork on rice and half a pound of burnt and dry bbq pork
Excellent? I don’t think so. The cha siu here was abhorrent. It was extremely chewy and tough, poor flavour, and included all the burnt end pieces which were all black, not just parts of it. The duck was meh, with many pieces being so pink that we had to reheat at home.
Will NOT be returning here and will NOT be recommending to anyone.
This place is a cheat! I bought BBQ pork that cost over $36!!! The boss lady said it was over 2 lbs, there was no way the box weighed more than 2 lbs. How could it all fit into one plastic takeout container. I immediately went home to weigh the box and to no surprise. It was no where over 2 lbs. it weighted 870.8 g which is equivalent to 1.92 lbs. they charged $13.99/lb so even with taxes it should have been $316.62. How the hell did they get $36?!??? Nothing but cheating owners and ripping customers off. Another famous You tuber in the Chinese community have mentioned they also do a lot of bait and switch. Show you the piece you pick and the package something completely different. I guess that’s how they stay in business, by ripping off unsuspecting customers. Notice the bbq meat butcher has his back turned to you, so you can never clearly see what sneaky tricks he’s up to. Stay away!
Many people said it was delicious, so I gave it a try. I ate the roasted duck and cuttlefish noodle dish on the left. After eating for 3 minutes, I saw a wild cat floating down (pictured). The little finger is as big as 2 minutes and 1 fingernail, and I can't eat it at all. 🤢

The workers were very nice. Also I like their self serve sauce station. $15 for a two meat rice box and a soup. A bit more on the expensive side

I only dare to make a conclusion after eating it many times. I only eat roasted duck here, which is pure Cantonese style. The price keeps up with the taste and quantity. I emphasize that the service is not the highlight here, because it does not require tips when dining in. Personal opinion: For those who say that the boss’s service is not good, please ask yourself, do you owe the tip? With the current per capita consumption of more than ten or twenty yuan, what kind of services do you want to provide? I often bring my family and friends here when I have time, and I only remember the roasted duck. 😄

BBQ pork, Skin not crunchy, meat too dry, can't finish, ask for small box for 50cents.

Honestly the best duck meal. The sause is amazing( had to ask for more) and goes well with the meat and veggies. The pork skin is always crispy and the duck is tender. Not to mention everything is cheap!! The soup is delicious but sometime lack consistency in the taste.
