Gate girll and gate cafe is both the same. I'll start by saying the staff are very nice but it did take a while for our drinks to come despite not many people in the restraunt. The eggplant and mushroom burger is a must, it was soo good. The saffron milkshake I didn't realize at the time was $18. Very overpriced for a milkshake and definitely does not match the quality. Caesar salad is okay. Didn't end up getting the waffle because it just felt like it would take a while. But seeing the other the reviews. I think this spot is more for pizza, burgers and sandwiches than anything.
Parking: There is a Parking lot on the back, just turn off onto the side street and you should see it on the right. Otherwise theres free street parking. An hour limit before 6pm but after not timed

Parking: I do not have a car. So, I have no idea about other information related to the parking. However, in the backside areas, there are some streets in which people can park their cars if the parking is full.

Nice place to spend time with your family and friends. Lovely staff and very polite. The quality of food , tea, and coffee is perfect.
We go here often. This particular Richmond Hill branch has only become better and better especially with the added space. Very friendly staff and any item on the menu is quite good. Sometimes it takes a little longer for the food to arrive especially with bigger parties at brunch which I hope they can improve on. Prices are too expensive for brunch. An omlette of any sort should not cost $20+ In current economy more fair prices will bring in more clients. There should also be clear differentiation between the neighboring Grill Gate and the cafe. I think most people are not sure they're in for steak and burger or coffee and brunch.

When I went to go eat, there was no water served in the beginning. The food was mid and the only good server was the guy in the YAO ming jersey. The food was expensive for its not as good quality. I do not recommend this please. I do enjoy the atmosphere as there was a pianist and some calm music and comfy chairs. Overall, 3/10

I visited Gate Cafe specifically for their desserts, and overall, my experience was quite positive.
The service was really good. The staff were attentive and quick to respond to our requests, making sure we were comfortable throughout our visit.
The atmosphere at Gate Cafe has a nice family vibe it was quite lively and I really liked that there was live piano performance too! It’s a perfect spot for a relaxed evening out with family or friends.
We ordered the waffle with bananas, strawberries and icecream that was big enough for two along with milkshakes. The dessert were decent, satisfying our sweet tooth, but nothing extraordinary stood out. The milkshakes were refreshing and complemented our dessert choices well.
In terms of value, this is where my experience wavered a bit. I felt that the overall value didn’t quite match the price we paid. The desserts were good, but I expected more for the cost.
One thing that caught my eye was the fresh pizza and burgers being served to other customers. They looked incredibly appetizing, and based on the visual appeal alone, we are definitely planning to return but to try their burgers and savoury foods next time.
In conclusion, while the desserts and beverages were enjoyable, I believe the true highlight of Gate Cafe might be their savoury menu from Grill Gate but will only know once we find out!

I went there to try Turkish Kunafe which was perfectly cooked. It was crunchy, and its sweetness and the cheese were just enough. Portion was small thou. Moreover, both staff and the atmosphere were amazing. your order comes on table fast and u can enjoy the live music that is performed by a professional band. Btw, their menu on the website needs an update.
I recently visited Gate Cafe, I believe its one of the best cafés I've been to in Toronto. The quality of their coffee drinks and shakes was perfect, complemented by the great service from the staff and friendly atmosphere,so I highly recommend this cafe. Additionally, there is a restaurant at same place called Grill Gate, which offers a variety of delicious burger and pizza.

I ordered an afocato drink and didn’t like the taste they mixed the flavors of espresso and Nescafé, which created a horrible taste. Usually, afocato drinks don’t come with cream, but this one did, which made it worse. I paid with cash, and the waiter said she would bring me the change, but she didn’t. I left in a rush and only remembered after I left.

Incredible atmosphere. This restaurant is for families, couples, or even singles looking for a great meal at a decent price. The staff were friendly and the coffee and latte were top notch. Would recommend.
