This shop has one of the worst response time and while their cakes are OK, it really isn’t dependable. My daughter has allergies, so I depended on them to make her birthday cake. They left us with no options right now because she needs to order an allergen free cake and my two year old won’t have a cake for her bday this week. It’s so disheartening when they ruined her birthday and wasn’t apologetic at all.The owner told me because I didn’t respond by Saturday, I didn’t make the cut off to order her a cake. I told her the reason I engaged them more than two weeks ago was because I was very serious about ordering a cake. At no point in time they said I need to order the cake by Saturday. But that’s not even worst part, as I shared I engaged them two weeks in advance but it’s because they either didn’t respond in between or I had to follow up numerous times after I asked them a question that caused the delay. Even on Saturday when I sent them one last question before I wanted to firm up the order, they never had the decency to email me back until I followed up again today (Tuesday) to tell me I can no longer get a cake.Any allergy mom can relate we don’t have the option to buy a store bought cake, I explained this to them several times as I am returning client - thinking I was doing the right thing by supporting a local business. But they brushed me off and said I can get her a gluten free cookie or brownie. Who offers their kid a cookie only for their milestone birthdays? Like would the owners do that to their own kid?I use to promote this baker to all my allergy mom groups and friends/family. I would definitely share this terrible experience going forward. They are really not client centric at all. I work in a customer service industry, there’s always exceptions. Especially when they are the one who doesn’t respond same day or next day.

Best place ever they have amazing scones, cupcakes and best of all coffee. They are the nicest people you’ll ever meet and I wish I could go there daily. Thank you so much Ginger’s Cupcakes & Desserts for being so amazing.

Beautiful store, great service. I came in on an “off” day and was in a rush but the folks did everything to help me get my order perfect and I’m very grateful.Would be helpful to see nutritional information per cupcake as I know they tend to be quite caloric but are brought frequently for kids’ bday parties (like me). Also would be helpful to see more healthy options, like using bananas for sweetness vs. sugar, adding cream cheese frostings, berries. I’ve asked for minimal frosting on mine and they obliged but weren’t able to accommodate my request for less sugar in the batter. Anyway for healthier recipes - lots of options. I’d bake the cupcakes myself but my daycare doesn’t allow for home-made food.Would love to be back and explore an updated menu sometime in near future. I realize the cupcakes will cost more (right now great price).Thank you Ginger’s ?

Thank you Ginger’s Cupcakes & Desserts! I ordered a few dozens of mini cupcakes for my son’s birthday party. They are so delicious and cute. It was a big hit. Love the variety of flavours and the calligraphy on the plaque. Would recommend this place to everyone especially for nut free cake or cupcakes.

I had the pleasure of picking my granddaughters (twins)1st birthday cupcakes. The bakery has lots of goodies I noticed that they had yummy cookies. So I bought 6 cookies !! Omgoodness they were out of world!!! Huge and delicious

Gingers came recommended from ANOTHER BAKERY! That in itself says a lot! We had a wedding guest that was very allergic to nuts so we were so grateful to Gingers! They made us a very tasty and beautiful wedding cake! Amber was very helpful from the first email and we were very happy with the delicious outcome!

Went to pick up some peanut free cupcakes and was happily surprised that they now carry vegan treats for walk-in customers! The chocolate vegan cake and vegan cookies (chocolate brownie cookie and chocolate chip cookies with puffed rice) were delicious! The frosting on the vegan chocolate cake was so creamy and the cake was so flavourful and the texture is right on. It's hard to get vegan baked goods right so I was so excited that the bakers at Ginger's bakery did. The regular cupcakes were wonderful like usual. The staff who greeted me was also very friendly and helpful.
