The food was mediocre and the portion size is shrinked in half. The food in the picture was about $50 and didn’t taste anything special. The waiters were not at all attentive although there were only 2 tables occupied. We had to walk to kitchen and ask service from our waiter. Would not recommend.

Food is still good and tasty, however it’s zero star when it comes to service.They don’t provide plates, therefore all the breadcrumbs and food pieces fall on the table rather on your plate.Servers don’t wipe the tables(sanitary issue). Every table needs to be wiped/sanitized clean after use. This has happened multiple times and it’s seriously concerning food and health matter.Btw every time I see someone waiting by the WC door! I recently visited Grillgate and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed. As an Iranian, I've been missing the taste of home, and Grillgate really brought that flavor to Canada. The owner, along with the recipes and staff, all hail from Iran, making it feel like a slice of home.What sets Grillgate apart is their innovative lettuce wrap sandwiches. It's such a refreshing take on fast food, and I love that they're so accommodating - they'll wrap anything I want in lettuce.One small issue I encountered was during takeout. When it came time to pay, I noticed a tip option. While I'm all for tipping for excellent service, for takeout, it felt a bit out of place since I wasn't receiving any additional service. It left me feeling a tad guilty, but I believe tips should be for table service, not takeout.Overall, Grillgate is a delicious representation of Iranian fast food in Canada. It's become a favorite spot for me and my family. Highly recommended!

I’ve been having my eye on this restaurant since it first opened and today, I finally had the opportunity to try it only to be quite disappointed.I ordered a veggie pizza and a side of the cream fries which I paid $30 for.I first received the cream fries and I was quite pleased with the large portion that I received. The fries were also golden brown and perfectly crisp. However, the cream sauce was not very good. It was a sour yogurt mint sauce and way too overpowering.Then, the pizza came and I was very disappointed. For starters, they put mozzarella sticks on top of the pizza which I found very unnecessary, there was no tomato sauce on the pizza, it felt more like I was eating a flatbread with cheese and vegetables on it rather than an actual pizza.The atmosphere also wasn’t the most inviting.Though, everyone was very nice and friendly.In short, you get what you pay for in the sense that you have a large quantity of food, but you do not in the sense that the quality of the food is good.
