The food is mediocre, with average value for money. The restaurant lacks good ventilation, resulting in heavy smoke and fumes.

Located inside Richlane Mall, this korean resto has been around for many years now. The food is quite authentic even though the service is sometimes a lil bit shoddy during peak hours.COMBO A-2 FOLKS. The best freaking deal ever. You get sliced pork belly (for the grill), a seafood pancake, deep-fried pork/chicken AND a family size pork bone soup as well. The menu says that it "serves 4 ppl" but TRUST, it can possible serve 4-6. I'm a big eater and I had enough food (my friends were tapping out by the time the pork bone soup came around).Pork belly: Nice, thick cut pork with a good amount of meat and not just super fatty. The grill was angled and had a drip funnel to drain all the excess grease.Seafood pancake: Big pancake. Lots of seafood. One of the best seafood pancakes in Richmond Hill.Tangsuyook (deep fried pork): The pork was still crispy and juicy despite being covered by the sticky, sweet sauce. The sauce was a thick, apple-based sauce. HUGE plate of pork.Fam-size pork bone soup: Some CHONKY cuts of pork bone and no potato in the soup (which was great). They toned down the spiciness a lil bit which I appreciated. I rmbr coming in the past w/ my friends and the PBS was insanely spicy. Ppl must've said something haha.A-2 Combo is the way to go here. GUARANTEE YOU'LL FEEL FULL.

Went with family and ordered combos. Lots of food equivalent to ayce, excellent variety and service was 4/5 considering it was quite busy for a Sunday evening. Korean restaurants are heavy on beef so don't expect too much if you're vegan. Prices are reasonable given the portions. 4.5

The service is not good here and that is not what you should expect from this restaurant. We were being Ng unattended for a bit, no tea to serve, and no utensils even the food arrived. However, the place was busy and with many people waiting online for a reason. What I found is the portion to price ratio is very good. It was simply a good deal. The Pork bone soup has four piece in it, although there isn't any potato and made the soup a bit thin. But I actually liked how the soup being less salty than usual. The bbq beef rib also has a good portion too. It was cooked well marinated and tender. The place is clean and have lot of parking. The service is fast, although could be inattentive at times, but they focus on getting the service and food completed in a speedy manner, so the wait was short. Overall, for the food taste, price and portion, I could return to here when I am near by.

Mixed Impressions at Authentic Korean RestaurantCraving for an authentic Korean experience, I found myself in an authentic establishment where four older Korean women managed the service while the men worked in the kitchen. The busy atmosphere on a Saturday night, with many local Koreans, validated the popularity and authenticity. It was a 20 minute wait for a smaller table at 7:30pm.I noticed immediately the absence of an exhaust system, creating a smokey and scented atmosphere from the various meet grilling tables. The slow service, coupled with waitresses often looking away, detracted from the overall dining experience.I ordered the pork bone soup, it was lukewarm and lacked of seasoning, leaving it notably mild, and most importantly non-spicy. The complementary side dishes followed suit, also tasting bland and old.Despite the lively ambiance and the presence of authentic dishes, the overall experience failed to deliver. With the sheer number of Korea restaurants available in York region, it might be more appealing to try a different establishment. Perhaps another casualty of post pandemic food quality.

Decided to pop in here for dinner after seeing some good reviews and since we are regulars at another restaurant in the mall we thought it would be good to try another place. Menu was good. Good selection of stews and rice dishes and they have some interesting table top bbq combos. Prices are decent and comparable to other places with similar options. What was ordered: Kalbitang Assorted seafood and pork belly on rice Chicken Katsu All the dishes come with purple rice. Let's start with the good, the assorted seafood and pork belly on rice was really good, decent combination of seafood and meat. Seafood included mussels and squid. Good portion. The chicken katsu was meh (the person who ordered this is a fan of being habitual and will typically order this dish), the chicken was pounded really really thin! The biggest disappointment was the Kalbitang. 3 pieces of short ribs that were as tough as nails. There was one piece I had to abandon. It wasn't even chewable. The soup base was good. Could have used more clear noodles. The selection of banchan was good you get 5 dishes and there was a couple of dishes I don't regularly see such as seaweed and tofu. Service was okay. It was busy and there seem to be only 2 servers. 10% off if you pay with cash but they take credit as well. I really wanted to like this place and it seems really popular. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing but it's such a basic dish that it was shocking that it wasn't done well. If I could do 3.5 stars I would but 4 would be too high.

Food is fantastic. Lots of great sharing options and big portions. The jeongol (hot pot) is enough for 4 people. The bokkeumbap (kimchi fried rice) was perfect. Seating is limited but the line moves quickly. Plus, in the winter, you can wait inside the mall and stay warm. The service leaves a lot to be desired - it feels impossible to get anyone’s attention. So be prepared to order immediately or you will not get served.

This restaurant was pretty understaffed given how busy it was. The staff took a while to take our order despite our attempts to flag them down. I saw other tables having similar experiences. Always appreciate it when they include jaechae in banchan. Some restaurants stopped doing that. Overall, the food was good and authentic.
