Late post from late dinner on Thrusday night with friends. First off, no one knows how to speak English here and only Mando, the staff only wanted deal with friend who fluent and gave rest of us a look when communicating amoungst ourselves when discussing the order.
Food was good and perfectly spicy which I cannot deny, but the staff and service was subpar, food took longer to arrive. Reservation at 11pm they wasn’t busy and prior already made special requests on the phone so they should have been prepared didn't need a menu.
Sichuan Homestyle cooking with hot oil infusion in chili and Sichuan peppercorns, creating a layered piquancy of all their dishes. Prices are reasonable, and could taste what care was put in each dish by the chef... only wished the waitress have the same pride in her work.
Name of the restaurant is true for the food without any mistake 🌶 🌶 🌶 as northern cuisine is heavy & bold, ao I would not recommended for those sensitive to spice and heat.

Be advised they are open for dinner and late night eats 7 days a week from 4pm - 3am with cash as preferred method of payment.

Have lived in the area for 20 years but have only tried this place recently. This place is a gem and one of the only places around which didn't jack up their prices following COVID. Can easily have a decent meal for less than $20 per person and best of it portions and big and tasty.

My first time coming here (I am not a spicy food person) but my bf and his friends apparently come here/used to come here all the time. The food was delicious and luckily they do have items that aren't spicy, but even some of the items that have a chilli pepper designation on the menu were bearable for me. The only thing that was way too spicy was the Napa cabbage pot. It was so unassuming. It wasn't even red (barely brown) but why did I almost die 🥲 it was still tasty tho. I recommend the General Mao pork belly and I usually don't like pork belly/fatty meats like that, but it was so soft and flavourful. We ordered 5 dishes and it came out to be less than $15 per person, so it's great value. This is a good place to go for late night eats (they open until 3am).

I have been driving pass this place zillion times over 20 years and finally decided to give it a try. What a pleasure surprise! The food, mainly northern Chinese and Szechuan style, is very good. The quality of the ingredients is excellent. We literally clean the plates with nothing left, no sauce, no spices etc., There was nothing unnecessary in the dishes. The prices are very reasonable too. We 3 people ordered 7 dishes, ended up packing 5 home eventually for the next day. Total with tax and tips was just over $100. Great value!

I’ve been to this restaurant and order take out from so many times. They offer a wide variety of dishes, and overall, the food is really good. Lately, I’ve been ordering their 奇香嫩羊肉，丝瓜木耳炒蛋，葱爆牛肉，打卤面—all of which are delicious.
The portions are generous, especially when dining in. If you order delivery, the portion sizes might not be as big.

Don’t know why some left 3 stars after commenting on the delicious foods. This is Chinese restaurant. Shouldn’t expect unnecessary service like other types of restaurants. They put their best efforts in the substance not in the lips service
